« Pros - The accommodations were roomy and spotless and modern! The grounds were a golf course and beautifully manicured. Close to the fishing, quiet, nice views. Although I didn't use it, the huge fire pit is a win! The restaurant was fine. I will definitely use this place again!!Cons - The barmaid could use a course in hospitality. They thought that they should tell me how my review should be rated. I found that a bit off putting. Definitely a fine place for a weekend or a week! »

« If you had to have a dream scenario of an A-frame in the Moantans, fire ring just off the deck, and hot tub, your dream will come true. Exactly as advertised. Two beautiful rides in the Lake Placid and Wilmington. If I were to add photos, they wouldn't be any better than the photos provided. The stay was stellar. »

« We thin k this was our 7th or 8th stay at this location - we love the area and the quiet .... the weather was perfect. You are close to Ellicottville and away in the country at the same time .... »

« We had a great time staying here as a family of 4. The kids loved the bunk beds and the cozy play corner up in the loft. So much natural lighting! I loved how wide the door and some windows were for letting in fresh air. Being close to the river was a nice touch! We found some really neat rocks and enjoyed the walks. We also enjoyed the fire pit and sunsets in the field. We cooked our meals in the treehouse, and ate down at the picnic table. I almost packed a tray - regretted not after many...

« A couple of our crew stayed here for the last couple weeks while out of town working on a job, and the cabin felt like home, it was clean, the host was super responsive, and it was just the perfect place for us. »

« Very cozy log cabin in a beautiful area of NY. We had a great time relaxing and visiting The Baseball Hall of fame in Cooperstown. Peter was great at communicating with us. My only suggestion would be to grocery shop before you get there. There are some well equipped gas stations that carry food about 10 minutes away but the closest grocery store is 25-30 minutes. If we are ever in the area, we would love to stay here again! »

« This stay is a fantastic retreat for those seeking time on the water, exploring local vineyards, or just a peaceful stay free of the hustle of everyday life. We booked this stay for our wedding weekend and it did not disappoint! Beautiful property that sits high up on the hill. Lots of space for family to kick back, with a full kitchen, remodeled bathrooms, and an amazing wrap around porch to sip tea or coffee out on in the early morning.Highly recommend to any and all! »

« The spacious yard was awesome, very quiet and had an amazing view of the night sky. We had a fire in the fire ring. The bbq grill was nice. We grilled some steaks for dinner. Groceries within 10 minutes. Not many dining options right in the area. Our stay was the last night of a ten day trip and it was a perfect ending. »

« We had a lovely stay at the Grape Escape. While it is truly roughing it, all our needs were met and the host was easy to contact if we needed anything. Hammondsport was an awesome town, with nice options for food, drinks, and vibes. Great food everywhere we tried, but Portside Bistro was our favorite. »

« This is a great cabin to rent. Very clean on the inside. Next to a pond, where you can hear frogs and birds. It’s located within 10-15 mins of civilization, if you need supplies or want to see sights. I’d highly recommend. »
