House was lovely and well equipped, except for washcloth and hand soap. There was an issue with the hot tub, but it was completely fixed very quickly, and the owner was very gracious even offering to let us stay a little later on our last day to make up for it.

Great location. Family loved the aesthetics of the house and the games in the basement. Cleanliness was a little concerning. There were marshmallows and graham crackers all over the yard and fire pit area which were attracting mice near the back porch. Stepped on marshmallow when taking luggage into the house. Several small articles of trash near back porch. Couldn’t open kitchen windows due to a serious ant infestation in the right window upon opening it, huge colony that must have mostly moved on by the next day but there were several stragglers. Most windows were pretty dirty to open, kept having to wash our hands after opening and closing the windows that had intact screens. Would recommend changing shower liner in bathroom. Discolored soap scum from previous use over time kind of grossed us out. Couldn’t find a sponge to replace smelly one in kitchen, or any washcloths.

Great family spot

The property was nice and allowed suitable room for my family. The kids loved the bunk beds and a separate room just for them. The game room was an added bonus. It was very quiet and felt succluded even though it was pretty close to a main highway. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook, but the pans were quite dirty when we arrived. A good dishwasher was nice to help us keep tidy while there. Not much clean up required upon checkout made it feel like a true getaway. Overall very satisfied with this nice family time we were able to have in a place that felt like home.

Before our check in time, the owner reached out and communicated that the AC was not working. He found out earlier that day and already had it inspected. The technician would not be able to fix it until the next day. Unfortunately, we needed to find somewhere else to stay due to our 5 month old. The owner remained in constant communication with us, and had offered to refund the first night if we needed to find somewhere else to stay for the night. He also offered to cancel the entire stay and refund us if we found somewhere else. While we did find somewhere else to stay, we would not hesitate to book again in the future. I did rate 4 stars for cleanliness because there were quite a few flies inside, but that might have jusy been from having windows open to try to air it out when the AC broke.

Please Don’t Let This Rental Catfish You — Health & Safety NightmareI should have trusted my instincts from the moment we arrived. Just trying to get into the home was the first red flag. The back porch—where the hot tub is located—was filthy and swarming with flies. The hot tub water was cloudy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.Unfortunately, the outside was just the beginning. This property poses serious health and safety concerns.The home had a severe infestation of ants and spiders. One of the bedrooms was completely overrun with ants entering through a hole in the windowsill. These ants—different species and sizes—were crawling on the floors, walls, beds, and counters. Spiders and webs were also scattered throughout the house.The overall condition of the home was shocking. We encountered:Stains and hairs on the beddingBoogers and what looked like feces on the wallsRugs filled with dirt, dead bugs, and grimeWatered-down hand soapHair in the showersDisgustingly dirty furniture in the family roomWe were not comfortable staying even one night. Our children were visibly shaken after seeing the level of infestation inside what was supposed to be our vacation home.No one should be staying in this property until it has been professionally cleaned and the pest infestations have been completely eradicated.

Excellent location near everything you need

The property was clean, owners were very responsive and attentive, and the location is perfect. 20 minutes from nice trails, 25 minutes to Hocking hills, and 15 minutes from grocery stores.The place has great private area and it was a joy to stay at.

Spacious house

Absolutely loved being in this house for the week. There was plenty of sleeping options and when the weather wasn't the best, we were grateful for the fames in the basement. The hot tub was also a favorite after walking local trails.

Family Vacay

My family takes a vacation together every year. We were impressed with this home. There was plenty of room for all of us, it was clean, the beds are beyond comfortable and there were lots of activities for adults and children. The whole family was happy and didn’t want to leave. Our host Tabitha was very helpful and quick to respond.

Just what we needed

Planned a stay for a couple of nights and it was just what we needed. The house is close enough to town for the you to go eat or shopping, but on a nice quite road for privacy and relaxation. The hosts were super sweet and were just a text or call away when we needed anything. The driveway is a little tricky but not too bad. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Great Getaway

The home is in a great location- easy highway access. It is updated and very cozy. The home has as all of your needs to call home during your stay. The beds are very comfortable. Relaxing and quaint

This home was close enough proximity to Hocking Hills. It was about a 20 minute drive to get there from the house. We really enjoyed the area and hiking. Hocking Hills was amazing! The home had all essentials. It was spacious enough and we enjoyed our stay! The only negatives are that the driveway is steep and there were some minor cleanliness issues.

Perfect for what we needed.

The property was great. Large and clean. Only downfall was the driveway. The gravel was difficult to go up. Otherwise, the house was perfect for what we needed, a place to relax while visiting with family.

Nice home in a rural area

We found our accommodations acceptable with a couple of hiccups. The dishwasher was not operable. We understand that things happen when repairs can't be made immediately. But would have appreciated knowing before we arrived as we were hosting our family for a holiday meal and our host was aware of that. We found small bits of trash in the seats of the white sectional, which was dirty, and more candy wrappers and dust bunnies, likely from a previous guest, under it.The host was responsive when i inquired of the dishwasher's status.The rental fee was economical. Thank you for allowing us to host our family meal in your cozy home. It wasn't a cabin in the woods like we typically rent, but we know the area and realized that before we rented. My husband and I enjoyed the opportunity to get away from the city for a couple of days.
