There was absolutely no communication with the host, they never returned my messages. We had a very hard time getting into the house, the code is at the front door, not in the garage and it was not stated that. The house had mold the floors were stained the TV by the bar did not work. The pool was disgusting. There were stains all over the blankets and pillows. The sliding glass door did not open and deck moldy and needs stain. There is no upkeep or maintenance to this house. We left a day early due to unpleasant experience- the house is not clean.
That was my wife's nickname for it.We rented this only because it has a beautiful pool, "open Memorial Day to Labor Day".We arrived the day after Memorial Day, except instead of a pool, there was a pit of brackish looking, evil smelling water. We complained immediately (Tuesday) and on Friday, a couple showed up and helped themselves to the backyard without knocking and began uncovering the pool. Nice people, but in the three days that passed since they began their intermittent process, the pool remained unusable, filthy, and smelling like a swamp. It's especially disappointing because had the pool been as promised and pictured, it would've taken our minds off of the rotting back porch, long broken patio furniture, ants in the master bedroom, overgrown foliage blocking the main entrance and more that combined to create a distasteful experience. On a positive note, check-in was easy.
This was a second stay for us and the property was as nice as the first time. It was a great place to gather with family. Communication with the property manager was a bit lacking. I requested early check-in, which was apparently approved, but the manager never communiated that with me, which made for a VERY stressful travel day.
The house in itself was great. Having a fenced in yard was very helpful when you travel with dogs. My dogs love to go on long walks off leash and we could not do that since we were in a neighborhood but that was my fault when booking. House amenities were great. We had an issue with the gas fireplace but the owners took care of it immediately. Our biggest complaint was how truly uncomfortable the living room furniture was. To spend all these days sitting and reading and enjoying the fire was lost by how uncomfortable the couch was. You sank into it and since the chaise was moved the couch had only one arm. Highly recommend getting a couple of recliners in there in order to enjoy the living room
The house was a great addition to our weekend away in Lancaster! We came with friends to celebrate my husbandâs birthday and visit Sight and sound Theatre,
Very nice property. Shower water was very hard to adjust. Everything worked and the yard was fine. The firepit was very pleasant. Would recommend this place for a stay.
We stayed here for a weekend baseball tournament. The house was very clean and had many thoughtful touches for guests. We arrived in the dark and had a minor issue with check in but the owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
The Inviting Lancaster Vacation Home was just that! We had a marvelous time staying at this property. We even managed to get in some pool time. The home was immaculately clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there, in fact, we kept finding more amenities each day. There were even menus for local places at our disposal. The owners really thought of everything. We are so grateful for this house. It was in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything in the area. I will say, though we opted not to bring our dog, there was even a cabinet full of supplies for those who do. They just thought of everything.
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. We all enjoyed the pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the house was close to all the attractions in the area.
My husband, daughter, dog and I stayed for a week. The house matched the description. The property could definitely accommodate a larger family/group comfortable and everyone would have enough space that not feel crowded.
Excellent accommodations for visiting family in the area. This house was spacious and the hosts were so welcoming.
Everything we needed was available and we felt at home. We would recommend staying here.
We were 2 couples looking for a low key long weekend. This house was just what we were looking for, especially the pool. We enjoyed meals and cocktails outside, it was great.
Inside was perfect for 2 couples and the air conditioning worked great.
Very clean inside when we arrived. Grill outside was a little gross and clearly isnât often used as the ignite button is missing but great location and a nice stay!
We came here for our son's swimming championship meet @ Franklin & Marshall College. This is our first time to stay in a house instead of team hotel (good discount), but we think it worth every dollar we spent. The spread out lay out gave each of us space, and I could watch my NBA games downstairs without disturbing others. I only prepared simple breakfast for kid, but did find the kitchen is fully loaded with supplies. Since my son needed afternoon's nap before the evening's final, it would be nicer to have blinds or dark color curtains to black out the light. Overall, we like the place so much and would be our go-to choice in Lancaster!
Our stay wasn't a disaster, although it could have been. We were there in winter and the in-ground pool was not properly covered. The cover sagged in the middle and was filled with icy water at least 3 or 4 feet deep. The listing noted that the pool was not fenced, but it should have been properly covered in winter. Our small dog ran onto the cover and promptly sank out of sight. Fortunately, it managed to dog-paddle to the edge, and my wife pulled him to safety. There were other small issues: the location was about 100 yards from a noisy major highway; we couldn't get the gas fireplace to work; the combo coffee/espresso maker lacked instructions; the backyard fence had gaps; and although the rooms were spacious and attractive, the main living area had a cathedral ceiling that made it hard to heat. The property manager tried to help, but the property was just not properly maintained.
