First, the house is falsely listed as “brand new”. It was built in 1993. It was obviously flipped as a rental quickly as it is not well appointed. We rented this house for a month and left it better equipped then when we arrived. We have rented through VRBO several times and usually find kitchens well equipped. This house, for example, had 16 coffee cups, 8 dinner plates, 3 butter knives, and cookware that is rusted, loose handles, etc. upon arrival I found dirty dishes and pans in the cupboards. I had to wash almost everything before use. The dishwasher runs but never gets dishes clean. On a good note, the management staff was quick to respond and followed through with their promise to reimburse us for items we purchased for the house to make it functional. One thing about the hot tub. It gets hot, then cools off, then gets hot, then cool. Probably due to the age. The property provided trash and recycling bins. We are diligent recyclers and carefully put our refuse in the appropriate bins. When “the crew” came to put the bins at the curb, they combined the trash with the recycling, which was a huge disappointment. Regarding the use of the garage. There is no access code or remote to enter, so we had to go through the front door, go to the garage, and open it. Then to depart, one of us had to close it after the car was backed out, then hurry to clear the safety beam before the door shut. Very inconvenient when an external keypad would have been so easy.
