« We used The Red House as an overnight stopover point to break up a long journey from 'up North' back down to the south coast. The building is 200+ years old and Grade 2 listed so lacks some of the refinements you would find in a more modern establishment. However it was clean and tidy and suited our needs. The single beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast and a very friendly and welcoming host. »

« *Clean and everything you need.* Nancy the host runs a tight ship here and was very helpful throughout (also makes a great English fry-up). If I owned a BnB I'd want her running it. I was here longer than expected whilst house-hunting - I'm used to S/C apartments (hard to get in Boston unless paying well over odds) - but was very happy with the room I had (front right at top which has own WC). « We were pleasantly surprised by our room. It was a family room which is probably why it was so spacious, and more importantly clean. My only moan would be breakfast is served between 8am - 9am. I personally think 8-10am would be more appealing but you can’t please everyone all the time. »
