17th-century Chapel Smart Home in Historic Sintra

Stay in a converted 17th-century chapel in Sintra's historic neighbourhood. Our private two-bedroom home combines the character of an old building with modern comforts and a warm welcome from Alex and his mum.

YOUR PRIVATE CHAPEL
The Chapel sleeps up to four guests, with a king bed in one bedroom and a queen bed in the other. Both bedrooms have smart TVs. You also have a living and dining area, an equipped Smeg kitchen and a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

A SMART HOME WITH CHARACTER
Google Mini speakers and Philips Hue lighting are installed throughout the home. Use your voice to change light colours, play music, ask about Sintra or the weather, or set an alarm. Prefer a switch? Press the Philips smart switches to cycle through lighting scenes I have created for each room.

YOUR OUTDOOR CORNER
At the Chapel entrance, you have your own small outdoor seating area with a table for four and a barbecue.

A FAMILY WELCOME NEXT DOOR
My mum and I live in our family's little palace next door, around 10–15 seconds away on foot. During your stay, you're welcome to enjoy its shared guest areas: play snooker or piano, browse the library, relax on the patio or use the barbecue.

The fire pit is in the shared outdoor area of our family home next door, not in the Chapel's private outdoor area. It is shared with our family and other guests. Please check with us before lighting it and follow the house instructions. Access details are provided privately before arrival. The Chapel itself is entirely private.

FOOD, DRINKS AND AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Breakfast, Portuguese dinners and drinks can be delivered to your accommodation for an additional charge. Please order breakfast at least 24 hours in advance; availability, prices and delivery times are confirmed when you order.

Airport transfers can also be arranged with us in advance for an additional charge, subject to availability. They are not included in the accommodation price. Please contact us through your booking chat for a quote and confirmation.

PARKING AND ACCESS
Free parking is available to Chapel guests in our own parking space. Access is tight and requires careful manoeuvring; please contact us before arrival for directions and to check suitability for your vehicle. Nearby public parking is subject to availability and local restrictions.

The Chapel has steps at the entrance and inside. Sintra is hilly, with steep streets and uneven paving. Some sights involve a longer uphill walk or transport.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Self check-in is available from 15:00, including late arrivals. Checkout is by 12:00. Earlier check-in or later checkout must be agreed with us in advance and may involve an additional charge.

OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Please respect quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00, including in the shared areas of our family home. Smoking is permitted outside only.
