« A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting.
Comfortable, clean, cozy.
On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing.
Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for.

« The place smelled really bad. There was clearly an attempt to cover it up with various air freshness but it was quite unpleasant.
It was also really loud. We could hear the doors closing, people going up and down the stairs and even showers and footsteps and conversations from other rooms.
Would not recommend. »

« I am sorry to say that the property was not what I expected. The area to park in was chaotic with cars parked all over the place so when I arrived after a traumatic journey, I was trying to find a place to park in the pitch black with no lights apart from my car lights. The room was not hoovered. The ‘kitchenette’ was dangerous due to the curtains being close to the air fryer. The toilet seat was loose, broken. There was barely a hello from the owner and he watched as I struggled in the rain...

« Excellent bed, good room (no. 8) and quiet at the back. Bathroom needs work, a heated towel rail would be good to be able to dry the towels. Window frames were very dirty on the inside. »
