« This is a 100-year-old historic landmark hotel that is much as it was when it was built. They have added modern card-access door locks and televisions. But they have not added air conditioning, fans, or in-room bathrooms. Individual rooms don't have bathrooms. You have to use a shared restroom down the hall. We asked if we could be moved to a room that had a bathroom, and the person charged us a lot more money and then assigned us a new room. When we got to that one, indeed there was a bathroom...

« Excellent last minute stay after our alternative accommodation fell through. The property is well maintained, spotless and very comfortable. The laundry facilities were an additional blessing. Lone Pine is a lovely little town and we enjoyed meeting some of the welcoming locals on our evening exploration. Will definitely stay again if passing through. »

« Nice little ("Tiny") place if all you need is a bed, bathroom and kitchenette. My only 2 concerns were difficulty communicating with host due to no cell service, and that the laundry was not in the unit. It was a short drive (or long walk) from the unit. But host was as accommodating and friendly. I recommend when visiting Death Valley and area. »

« What an amazing place! Got a tip from a local to take a short drive up the Mount Whitney portal and I highly recommend everyone do the same. The views from the room are AMAZING! Waking up to the sunrise on the mountains was something I'll never forget. Communication was fast and very helpful. Highly HIGHLY recommend staying here. »
