My host was doing under the table transactions. My experience was horrible. Do not rent this home. After paying the first two payments, I received a call from the host. He stated the home was double booked and he hates that the house is listed on multiple sites. He offered to move me to other homes. We declined. He stated to give him time to research and find another house. A week later, I received a text that it was ours. Relief. We paid the final payment and awaited our departure. A month later, I received a call from the host, again. This time it was a day before departure around 4 pm. He stated a pipe burst and he could not let us stay there. I suggested to allow us to stay while he got the part fixed. I received a firm NO! He stated it would take too long to fix before allowing guests. We were then forced to accept a house we did not want due to time restraints. We literally flew into the city with no where to stay. Last minute, we were transferred to another host. Our funds also transferred. When I contacted VRBO, I was told I waited too late to call. This is unacceptable. I have used VRBO for the past 5 years over its competitors. I even purchased trip insurance! Still nothing. Do not trust Brad and be careful when using VRBO. I am unhappy and dissatisfied. I am pretty reasonable and feel something should be done about this horrible experience. I expect a call from someone! Very soon!
