« Spent two nights here on my own to extend a family trip. I was met by Mark who welcomed me and gave me a tour. The coziest space, beautiful gardens, a screened in porch with comfy places to sit and read. Upstairs, the bed is so comfortable with soft cotton sheets and a variety of pillows. There’s AC but I opted to open all the windows and let the fabulous breeze come through. Every space is fully stocked with anything you might need and more. Fridge even had some cold bevies! « The house exactly as described! Comfortable and cozy! When driving up at night, it’s the first driveway past the “hidden driveway” sign! It was so dark we passed it twice! House is set off of street!The views can’t be beat! The porch was favorite place to congregate! It’s about a 45 minute drive to Boothbay. There is shopping in Boothbay, the botanical gardens, the prettiest village in Maine, Wiscasset!Did not eat out too much so do not have many recommendations. The lobster/seafood store down...

« This rustic cottage is a slice of true Maine. Lobster boats outside the window. Friendly people and lobster rolls. We would come again and again. John and Melanee are wonderful, as is the entire family. »

« We had a problem with door key pad the second day and thank goodness there was someone inside. I have the same pin pad at home so I know how that works. Everything else was excellent. »

« This would be our third stay on this property. We love the seclusion where the cabins are. They are very clean and comfortable. And, the property is in a good central place for trips to the beaches. »

« Everything about staying at this property was easy and relaxing! Plenty of gorgeous views, kitchen implements, bedding, amenities, and fire wood! The host was so responsive and professional to ensure a seamless stay! Neighborhood was quiet and friendly! We had a lovely time! »

« This is our 5th year staying at the cottage. Our first few visits were shared with a long-time friend but we have visited with our son, daughters and grandchild the last two years. It is just the right size for our family of 6.We love sitting on the porch and watching and listening to the waves as the tides come in and out. The sunrises are amazing and this years display of northern lights was magical. We also enjoy the nearby Farnsworth Museum, Langlaise Art Preserve and Finnish Heritage House. »

« Just what we needed! We loved relaxing on the deck, kayaking and paddle boarding from the dock. It felt secluded, but was close to town with all the stores and restaurants. It was also close enough for a day trip to Acadia. The Botanical Gardens were great! Great stay! »
