I think there is a lot of potential for the places at The Henry Clay. It's exciting to see new life brought to historic buildings and I love that for this Louisville gem. The kitchen and bathrooms were great. There could be a little more in the way of kitchenware for anyone looking for longer stays than we had. The water pressure and drainage were great. The polished concrete floors are "in" and while I am a fan of that whole industrial look, more rugs are needed. Getting out of bed onto a concrete floor is not a joy and the same if you're standing at the kitchen sink. Also, it would be good to ask the cleaners to wipe down the top of the headboard, which is pretty heavy with dust. I know old buildings get dusty and cob-webby quickly, but this seems like it's been accumulating for a bit. The one real turn-off was the couch and chair in the living area. We wouldn't even sit on them. The chair seems old and very worn and not clean. The sofa has stains all over it and gross. I don't think it would be a huge cost to get something inexpensive and new for that space and be much more welcoming. Also maybe somehow make it clearer in the booking/check-in instructions to look for the very detailed instructions with pictures that will be sent through the other app (sorry, I forget what it's called). While I figured it all out with some onsite sleuthing and the help of another VRBO client, it was kind of like a scavenger hunt. Good investment though, in the city! Keep going!
