- This exceptional waterfront home is nestled in the heart of the historic village of Gandria, right next to Lugano. Once a restaurant and guesthouse, it has been fully renovated into a stunning private residence that blends modern elegance with timeless character. Spanning four floors, the house features beautifully designed living spaces, refined furnishings, modern art paintings, book library, air-conditioning, two vast terraces, and direct private access to the lake.
A motorboat (for up to 8 people) moored at the private dock is also available for use (extra charge of 700.- /week excl gas, valid driving permit required).
This residence is perfect for two families or any other large group of friends who want to enjoy together memorable summer days on lake Lugano.
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking lakeside setting—sunbathe on the cozy canopy bed, enjoy an elegant aperitivo as sailboats drift by, or gather with family for a barbecue right on the water after a swim or paddleboarding adventure. End the perfect day with a movie in your private home cinema.
From the house you can easily explore the surroundings by walking the beautiful "sentiero di Gandria" and "sentiero degli ulivi" to Lido San Domenico and to Lugano. You can ride the boat (the house boat with extra arrangements or the lake tourist boat which docks 50m from the house) to traditional restaurants by the lake (Grotto) or to picturesque towns like Morcote. You can take the funicular or hike to Monte-Bré for mountain vibes with the most breathtaking views. You can reach Como lake within a 30' drive.
The house is part of the historic village nucleus and therefore not directly accessible by car. Just like other Gandria residents, hosts need to leave their vehicles at the communal parking at the entrance of the village and walk down to the individual houses. The house is distant 100m from the last point accessible by car, walking down includes some stairs. It is therefore not ideal for people with walking disabilities.

Lake level: covered terrace, barbecue space, dining table for 8, access to lake.
Ground floor: entrance hall, guest bathroom, living room, home cinema (screen and beamer drop down from ceiling), kitchen, dining room, terrace with outdoor lounge and canopy bed
1st floor (partially opens to ground floor): master bedroom with king size bed, large open shower, freestanding bathtub, closed bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, desk/working space
2nd floor: 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, one TV-room with couch converting to queen size bed, 2 fully equipped bathrooms, one with laundry machine and dryer.
3rd floor: 1 bedroom with a king size bed and private bathroom, large area with kitchen, dining table, living room, TV-corner, guest bathroom, and 2 small balconies overlooking the lake.
Sheets, towels, bathroom and kitchen amenities are provided for all floors.
