Exceptional property in quiet location
Exceptionally well-presented holiday let - plenty of room with everything we needed. Very quiet, farm-land location with plenty of bird-life to keep us company and many places of interest nearby, including a local pub serving good food. Would happily stay here again.

Rural Retreat
If you are looking to get away from it all, then The Granary is perfect. It is peaceful, rural, & a cosy cottage. The log burner is an added bonus for the colder nights in. WiFi signal was good. But you must be prepared to drive to places as very off the beaten track, which we loved.

Delightful couples' getaway
This property provided a wonderful new year break to get away from it all for my partner and I. It felt like such an adventure driving up the country track to the cottage! The host provided really clear directions and useful information before our stay, and the property was brilliantly set up for the two of us. The decor is beautiful, and we really appreciated touches like milk in the fridge, dishwasher tablets, good quality towels and christmas decorations. Loved having the choice between a shower and a bath, and the bed was really comfy and enourmous. There is great walking right on the doorstep, or easy day trips such as York and Whitby. This is an absolute gem for a couples' break.

Perfectly peaceful stop over for a few days of R & R . Spotless clean and spacious cottage, ideal for 2, in a charming location. Close to plenty of classic land marks and traditional places to visit. Kate was super helpful when we had a little crisis and made us feel very welcome, but did not intrude in any way . Would highly recommend this great place.

This is a lovely, comfortable, peaceful cottage looking out across the fields. It’s a short drive from Malton for shops and restaurants etc. we’ll equipped, comfy bed, powerful shower and our lovely host Kate welcomed us and left some essentials and treats. We would stay here again.

A little place in the country

Wonderful , peaceful relaxing , Kate was lovely she thought of everything even down to milk in the fridge after our long journey . It is just the little things including a card for my partner for his birthday. She is on hand if there is a problem. Highly recommend if you want a get away it is secluded but also not far from amenities a car Is needed . Kate has supplied a booklet with lots of local info and local pubs and things to do . Highly recommend a visit ..

Beautiful, cosy cottage
The Granary is an old farm cottage, renovated to a very high standard. The super king bed is so comfortable. The cottage stands in a field with good views across the fields and plenty of wildlife to be seen: hares, roe deer, pheasants, tawny owl. The local pub, The Grapes in Great Habton serves excellent food and is only a few minutes drive away. I would definitely recommend The Granary.

Perfect Country Location
The property is at the end of a private lane surrounded by open fields. The cottage itself is perfectly proportioned with a large sitting room, bedroom and kitchen dining area. All fittings and fixtures are high end and look new - we loved it! There is also private space outside to enjoy the countryside views and sunsets Host Kate lives next door and is friendly and welcoming. The property is perfectly located for visiting Malton, Castle Howard, York, Whitby & Scarborough - all within an hour's driving - and we did.

Escape to the country
We received a very warm welcome from the host on arrival. The cottage was ideal, having everything that we needed during our stay...it was clean, comfortable, with an adequately equipped kitchen, and a cosy lounge. Having a top quality super king bed to sleep in at the end of each day was a bonus. The whole cottage was decorated and furnished to a high standard. Its situation was perfect for seeing different parts of Yorkshire and the peace and quiet was heaven. We can highly recommend this cottage.

The perfect place to chill out for a week.
I am less able following a back injury and can only walk short distances on two crutches. Therefore, my needs are specific. Granary Cottage supported all my special needs. There was car parking close to the front door, a spacious layout to all the rooms, a very comfortable superior king size bed and a relaxing, comfortable lounge area with windows at each end, affording views of gardens and scenery. All the access roads to the cottage and the farm track were in good condition, no ruts and pot holes. The location was outstanding, with views for miles across the fields. On our way too and from the cottage, we spotted an abundance of wildlife, pheasants, a heron and rabbits. The nights were drawing in and getting colder, both the lighting and the central heating in the cottage were more than adequate. We loved this cottage and its location and hope to stay again on our next visit to Yorkshire.
