Phenomenal house for big groups
Had the most amazing holiday here. 3 families, 10 kids in total and each family had our own section of the house and own bathroom. And there was space for a 4th family. Beautiful home, well stocked with laundry and dishwasher stuff and toilet paper, glad wrap etc which is always so handy with big groups. Fire places were brilliant, location was perfect. We just loved every minute. Host was really responsive too and even got a portacot for us to use. You won't be disappointed with this gorgeous home. An easy drive to so many great spots and a quick walk into town for supplies too

Perfect Place
This is our second stay for our bi-annual Aunties & Niece's weekend. There was 20 of us, beds for everyone, 4 bathrooms, and plenty of sharing space to gather, great tables for sitting together, and great outdoor spaces too. Also just a hop skip and jump to go for a swim, followed by a warm outdoor shower. Everything you need is catered for, hard to beat.

Excellent Beautiful House.
The house was huge and fully stocked with everything we needed. Just a 5min drive to the beach. There was so much fire wood and seperate relaxing areas. Communication was fast and great. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks

What an amazing place!!!
The Bach is super luxurious and spacious and in a greatlocation. It is so close to the estuary, shops and a short drive to the main beach. It located in a very nice and quiet street. And the host is very easy to communicate, and replying very quickly to any questions. We had such a wonderful time. Thanks Yasmin 😊

Amazing place for large groups.
We had a fabulous time, great location, so close to the beach/estuary or a short drive to the ocean beach. Ideal size and space for us all. There were 19 of us, 9 adults and 10 children aged from 13 years to 1 year old. They loved the swings and trampoline, couldn't find some of the toys mentioned, or the highchair. Loved the fabulous extra large outdoor table which was used for most meals.

Family New Year!
There were 14 of us aged from 11montgs to70! We stayed for 5 nights & had a wonderful time enjoying the privacy with so many bedrooms & the great seating areas. We loved sitting around the fire for evening drinks & after dinner fun. Fantastic, large house
We loved our stay at this house - it was perfect size for 3 couples and 8 kids. Kids loved all the different bedrooms and bunk arrangements and gave the adults lots of options of where to best sleep - beside the kids or the opposite end of the house! The large kitchen living area was great for so many of us and we never felt we were on top of each other. Unfortunately the kitchen lacked a microwave and decent can opener. Sadly the fire wasn't working which was one of the places best features and we were really looking forward to sitting outside in the evenings but I was notified it was broken a few days before our arrival. The yard was perfect for some outside cricket and soccer and the swings were a mega hit. Loved the location right by the estuary with easy walks and swims. We couldn't find any of the kids games/toys that was mentioned in the house write up which was a shame as I didn't bring many games because of this. There were also hardly any power plugs in the rooms and none in bathrooms. But overall this house was a perfect set up and size for this large group. The host was very responsive to all messages and in a timely manner. Thanks very much, we will be back!

Mangawhai heads family getaway
Beautiful home. Family getaway for a week to celebrateour dad 70th birthday. Perfect size, and space, enough beds for everyone. There were 30 of us altogether adults and kids all under one roof. But we still took extra bedding (air beds and linens) House is very spacious. 3min walk to beach. Beautiful area. Would recommend for family group getaway. Host was very lovely to communicate with.

Yasmin was very easy to communicate with, thank you. The house is perfect for big groups. Has lots of space for doing different things. Location is perfect - close to the beach, convenience stores, and restaurants. It is also clean and tidy. We enjoyed our weekend there.

Wonderful family holiday
It was perfect for our 52nd Wedding Anniversary celebration with all our family (5 children and partners, and 11 grandchildren). Great “super bach” which was superbly equipped for cooking, sleeping and enjoying our family, and great access to the very safe beach. It is the second time we have stayed there and we recommend it without reservation. We hope to return in 2 years time.

Large Family retreat
We have used this superb property twice now over the Christmas period. It's absolutely perfect in so many ways. We are a family of 20, ranging from 1 to 86. Bedrooms with air con, ample bathrooms, fabulous outdoor area, location and parking, good kitchen - although lacking some basic utensils and microwave. Highly recommend this property.

Great stay in Mangawhai Heads
Collie's house is a great place for getting together with family or friends. Plenty space to relax and comfortable rooms and beds. Location is good and close to shops, restaurants and golf course.

Great place for a large family
A really good location with plenty of space for various activities. The covered outdoor space was very useful. The fold out bed was not as comfortable as the other beds. We were surprised there was no microwave in the kiychen.

Can't speak highly enough of this awesome retreat
We are a management team from an Auckland based NGO and we were doing Team Building work at a location near this property. It was such an amazing place to come back to at the end of the day. A lovely retreat where we could relax and connect. Highly recommended property.

Nice place to stay, well set up with most of the essentials . Some of the things missing was a microwave, a lack of toilet paper ( 3x rolls only available for 21 people)Firewood needed restocking BBQ was very dirty had to be cleaned prior to use, there was nowhere to put soap shampoo in showers except in floor. Apart from these small thing which could be easily rectified this was a very functional space for a large number of people.

Great stay for multi-family groups!
Very modern and spacious. the outdoor area is the ideal hang out place, even if the weather isn't great. Great location, nearby the beach and the shops. We'll definitely return.

Perfect for large extended family get togethers
Communication with property manager was excellent, we had a few minor problems on arrival which were sorted out swiftly. House was well equipped and a pleasure to stay in. The location is fantastic. We had our Christmas Day at the property and it worked well for all 17 of us, plus parking for 2 boats, 1 campervan and 5 cars. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Extended Family Getaway
We spent 2 amazing nights at Collies Beach House, our second stay here as a large family group ranging from a 71 year old down to a 2 year old. The beautifully renovated property is a stones throw from the beach with a good number of bedrooms/bathrooms for a larger group. We loved the outdoor fireplace, the spacious kitchen, and SkySport kept us up to date with the AB’s game. We’d thoroughly recommend the property and look forward to our third stay soon!

Cosy, stylish and practical
When travelling with a large group you want somewhere everyone can enjoy themselves without feeling you are stacked on top each other. This place gives you that. Even in winter you can make use of indoor and outdoor spaces!

Beautiful house
Even better than the photos show! Very warm even in winter, all appliances are excellent and modern. Rooms are well laid out with heat pumps all around. Walking distance to the town centre and beach. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much.

Large roomy house. Would have been good to have TV in sleepout - easier to control kids TV watching noises. Generally tidy and clean except dirty trays in oven and dishwasher part filled but not turned on. Towels, beds etc all good.

Great stay!
Couldn't have asked for a better stay - super easy check in, lovely house, everything you needed was there, location was perfect and the outdoor area with the fireplace was the cherry on top of the cake :) Justine was very prompt to respond too, and very friendly to deal with. We have already discussed going back for another group trip :)

Fantastic Location. So Much Space! Indoor/Outdoor flow worked very well! One of the family required a visit to Whanharei Hospital, contacted the Owner who was ever so gracious in allowing us to stay as long as we needed to to await her arrival back to Mangawhai. Love to stay again!

Amazing weekend away!
The house is amazing, such a great proximity to the estuary and fantastic for large groups. It does only sleep x21 adults though, not x22 as there are x2 child’s beds. Still brilliant for large groups, would love to holiday there again 😊
