Restaurant service at breakfast is struggling when it comes to peak times and could be more friendly. Dinner buffet/menu for 25 GBP p.P. is too expensive as quality and variety of food is below average as well as service level - having a coupon to get a "free drink" with self service reminds me of a canteen - not a Hilton.“

„Wifi hat nicht funktioniert (musste mein Zimmer wechseln, um eine vernünftige Verbindung zu bekommen). Zimmer war kalt (es gab einen Heizungskörper, der nicht so heiß war UND wo ein Schrank davor stand!). Frühstück nur bis 08h30. Alles habe ich vor Ort angesprochen.“

„Sehr schön ausgestattetes originelles kleines Hotel / Restaurant; sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal; schönes Zimmer mit Bad - lediglich das Waschbecken hätte etwas größer sein dürfen. Parkplätze auf dem Hotelgelände vorhanden. Leckeres Essen. Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt.“

„After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual ...

„Bei Ankunft waren alle freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Abends im Restaurant waren die 4 Kellner leider mit mir alleine im Restaurant etwas überfordert. Im großen und ganzen eigentlich ein nettes ruhiges Hotel. Das einzige das mich gestört hat, war die Tatsache, dass die Angestellten nicht grüßen, wenn man an ihnen vorbeigeht. Sonst aber top. Frühstück ist sehr britisch.“

And I called to Hotel.com the staff request me to pay again for the hotel and refund my previous payment with Hotel.com due to some payment issue between Hotel.com and the Hotel. „This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.“
