Our family of four (two 12yo) had a great time enjoying the property and the water. The house was well equipped from the kitchen and laundry to games, beds and water sports equipment. The water was clean and warm, and we loved jumping in from the rope swing and tree nearby, and at the public dock, also very close! The basketball court was handy and the kids learned to play chess. They thought of everything! Spotlight, chic, functional and stocked!!!!

Beautiful home with literally everything you could possibly imagine included. A uniquely spacious property with so many cute and thoughtful gathering spots throughout. A family's delight, from the fully stocked morning zen coffee nook, to the vibrant 8 person dining, river dips and hot-tube soaking…..you will need a week to enjoy everything Kristie has created for you to enjoy an epic summer vacation. Without a doubt this spot will be an encore for our family next year.

Wonderful stay with excellent attention to detail!

My family and I spent nearly a week at this property and couldn’t be happier with it. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival just as requested and advertised. The property had a number of amenities that you normally don’t have (excellent coffee bar and rec rooms for us and the kids!). The lot was also huge giving us loads of room to relax and hang out. Right by the water as well so it was easy access. Overall great stay and we definitely recommend it whole heartedly.

Perfect local gem!

So happy with our stay!! The home was SPOTLESS and so well maintained. We absolutely loved the small cottage vibe. The house had everything we needed, we really only needed to bring clothes and food. The smaller details like string lights leading you to the fire pit, the flat top bbq, the welcome guide, coffee station, extra toiletries, and the endless supply of games to play, are what made it extra special. The neighbours were lovely, and even though it was only a 30 minute drive from home, it really felt like a getaway because of how beautiful the property is. Great for kids, so much to explore and do, they were never bored! The owner was wonderful and great with communication. 11/10 will definitely be staying here again :)

Amazing property and cottage!

Myself and four girlfriends spent the weekend and we were so pleased with this spot. The outdoor space is plentiful and clean and well thought out. Inside also had lots of space and had everything you need - including a dishwasher! Kitchen had lots of plates, utensils, etc. coffee bar was a lovely touch! The basement and sunroom allow for space to be stretch out even if it rains. We loved this place - would 100% book again!

Down by the River

Overall, a great property. Pefect location on the river, nice 3 season room looking down to the river. We were 2 families and the bedroom spaces were very comfortable. The main house has A/C which was much appreciated for our mid-July stay. We used the firepit one evening, it's set up well with plenty of seating and a generous supply of firewood. The dock on the river had a couple of chairs, perfect for that quiet, early morning coffee or watch the kiids paddle around in the 'for us to use' canoe or kayaks. Very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Our favorite cottage experience!

We've been to many cottages but this one is the top of our list. The property is stunning, everything is new, clean and so well equipped (the kitchen had everything we needed and more from paper towel, appliances, even maple syrup). Loved the coffee station as well, with a new coffee machine. The hot tub was a great plus and we took the two kayaks onto the water which was absolutely beautiful during the fall season. We cant wait to come back! Our host was very gracious and answered all our questions without delay. Do not hesitate to book this place

I love how close it is to shops, ice cream and the beach. The hot tub was so relaxing. Lots of games and things to do if you get bored of the amazing view. Perfect little getaway

We stayed at the Crowe River Retreat as two families (Niagara and Montreal), looking to meet in the middle to spend a few days together. Combined there were 3 kids ages 5, 2.5 and 2. We so appreciated all of the toddler friendly amenities like a full size crib, high chair, booster seat and toys. Kristie even had the crib set up for us in advance. Her yard is also perfect for young kids, they loved playing in the waterfront but there was also plenty of room for them to play outside without being close to the water. Additionally, the cottage is super conveniently located to a playground/splash pad, LCBO, ice cream parlour etc. Thanks to the event calendar Kristie provides, we were able to walk 5 minutes to a classic car show after dinner which the kids loved! As for the cottage itself, it is very cute, modern and clean. The mud room was a great space for the kids to play and they enjoyed exploring the basement as well. Kristie is a very responsive and helpful host, and her communication made us feel very confident about booking here. Thanks Kristie for a great stay!

The Perfect Getaway

Crowe River Retreat was the perfect weekend getaway. Kristie was an excellent host who communicated every possible detail and answered any and all questions I had. Every detail at this cottage is thought of. From the moment you arrive you realize nothing has been forgotten. It was great to enter and see a full manual giving you all the info you could possibly need including wifi password, temp controls, light controls, coffee station, tv info, backyard info, etc. The bedrooms are fantastic with comfortable beds, plenty of pillow and blanket options and even bathrobes in the closets. The bathroom had all the towels you could need, as well as unexpected surprises like extra razors and toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer and straightener. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots and pans, dishes and cutlery you could need. And the coffee bar was well stocked with coffee, sugar and mugs, making our mornings so easy! Outside there was plenty of seating options on the deck and a fire pit (with firewood) waiting to be enjoyed. And the hot tub... it was the cleanest hot tub I have ever been in! In fact, the cottage itself was immaculately maintained and taken care of. Don't hesitate to book this if you are looking for a cottage - this one is fantastic.. a hidden gem!

This place has it all!

We had such a lovely stay at Crowe River retreat. This place ticks *all* the boxes. Waterfront access with sandy beach (great for toddlers), canoe/kayak/paddeboard, loads of lifejackets, hot tub, fire pit, BBQ, high chair/booster/crib, an incredibly well-equipped kitchen (a real joy to cook in), televisions, board games, foosball, pool table - we can’t think of anything that could be missing from this cottage! Plus Kristie is a gracious host and prompt communicator. We would definitely visit again!

Cozy family getaway

The hostess has thought of everything to help make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. Ton of different activities to keep kids/teens entertained. Getting up early in the morning and sitting on the dock, listening to the loon, geese and other nature sounds was very peaceful and serene! Our first time doing a cottage and it did not disappoint. Any future places have alot to live up to!

Great !!

We rented this cottage recently for a family vacation. It has everything you'd need or may have forgotten (even a hair straightener, toothbrush and razor!) for a wonderful vacation. I love how close it is to shops, ice cream and the beach. The hot tub was so relaxing. Lots of games and things to do if you get bored of the amazing view. The property is bigger than I expected from the photos! Plenty of room to run around! There are thoughtful touches all over the house! You'll definitely have a great time !!
