Loved this house and the location especially for a September wedding which was on the beach just a walk away. The house was very clean and just as described, I would definitely recommend this property!
-We literally had to "break in" because the shed with the key was nailed shut.
-The person they sent to fix things spoke zero English and everything he fixed broke again. He came while we were out and that was an unpleasant surprise.
-Water faucet in bathroom would not shut off.
-The spout in the shower shot straight up to the ceiling and had to be fussed with in order to take a shower.
-Several electrical outlets were bad/non-working
-Screen door and door knob fell off
-Constant dawn to dinner construction noise due to resanding of the beach
- No beach access due to same
-Venetian blinds fell off in east-facing master bedroom so sunrise was unbearably bright and early
- Coffee pot was on it's last legs - didn't work w/o a lot of coaxing
- Ants in the kitchen... in the coffee pot
- Cable TV and remote were both not working downstairs
-Beach equipment shed was a disaster
-Some kind of alarm went off twice and shut itself off inexplicably
-The stove burners didn't work well. It took an hour and 15 minutes to cook things like a grilled cheese sandwich.
-The local Mashpee mall was an ultra-uber-expensive waste of time. Not one thing there worth looking at or buying.
Nice clean place. Short walk to the beach. An unseasonably warm 3 days in early November meant we got to spend time reading on the patio in the sun and grilling our dinner. Very relaxing indeed.
The cottage was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. My Family and I enjoyed going to the beach daily which is a short walk from the cottage. The village is quiet and family friendly. Definitely want to stay again.
We loved our stay for Labor Day Weekend. One block from the beach, short walk to the marketplace where my 4 year old had a blast! Mini golf, ice cream, candy store, toy store, shopping, bar and a band last night. Perfect spot for a weekend away!!
Hammock Hideaway is in the most incredible location in Mashpee. The private beach club has a quiet strip of soft sand to relax on just a minutes walk from the property. A short walk also has you at the âPoppyâ marketplace with grocery, shops and restaurants.
The property itself has AC wall units on the main floor and in both bedrooms which let things comfortable on humid days. The beds are comfy and there are plenty of pillows, linens and towels to go around.
Clean, quiet and the parking spot were the added benefits that made us fall in love with our stay.
We donât have kids, but a great spot if you do! Equally lovely for adults to unwind.
Plusses are air conditioning, mattress, location, patio. Needs improvement are: selection of TV channels, more utensils, simpler coffee maker, maybe also need a wall clock. Overall excellent. Thanks to all. We had a super vacation.
Our family had such a wonderful time here! The house and village were charming and the beach to walk to could not be beat. The house was very clean and check in and check out were easy processes. We were there on a scorching hot week, so the air conditioning was much appreciated when we were indoors.
We rented 9 Hammock Pond for a few days in order to visit family in the area. The accommodations were clean and pleasant. The place was within a short walk to the beach although accessing the beach required using steep stairs. There was a cute general store within walking distance where we could buy anything we needed. All in all it was a lovely stay!
The property was just as advertised and just what we needed to relax and recharge. Highly recommend for a grown up, peaceful beach getaway. The beach is amazing!!!!
Well appointed and clean with good access to a beautiful unspoiled beach. From images online, we did not realize that there was another unit attached to ours.
We couldn't fully enjoy the patio. Landscapers took it over one day of our stay to clean up. Their equipment was disruptive. The patio door needs some repair work.
