« I loved the forest access. It was a huge bonus for me. I also loved how close it was to all the other hiking areas and cloudcroft/Alamagordo. Another bonus is hpw dark it gets at night and how little light pollution there is whoch allows to see stars. Even better, the forest was accessible at night which gave way to all kinds of great opportunities for astrophotography. Excellent place. « This is a charming, rustic cabin with everything you need. The host is on site, kind and helpful. We really appreciated all that he did for us. The cabin / RV park is quiet with that perfect mountain ambiance. If you plan on using the futon, be sure to ask for bedding. I didn't read the fine print but we had brought a sleeping bag, so all was perfect. »
