The Neighborhood: MAZAMA We are located right in the heart of Mazama very close to the Mazama Store and the Methow Trails trailhead (for great hiking, mountain biking and cross-country ski trails). In addition to the store with its great bakery and grocery, Mazama is home to the Mazama Public House, Goat’s Beard outdoor store (with mountain bike and fat bike rentals) and the Mazama Ski School for cross country ski hire and lessons.
NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK We are conveniently situated for easy access to the North Cascades and the trailheads to many of the Park's world-class hiking trails. It’s a 20 minute drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 25 minutes to Washington Pass and 30 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons.
Getting Around: Getting here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over State Route 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I90, Snoqualmie Pass and Bluett Pass, or via highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop. The nearest major airports are Spokane International Airport at 180 miles (year round) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (190 miles in summer / 260 miles in winter). Regional flights are also available at Pangborn Memorial Airport in Wenatchee located 102 miles away.
Getting Around: The location is walking distance from the Mazama Store and Trailhead. Winthrop is under 20 minutes drive / 14 miles south on 20. Methow Motion provides a private car service throughout the Methow valley.
Other Things to Note: ROOM ASSIGNMENTS You are booking one of two similar sized units. Rooms are automatically assigned at booking: if you have a preference for one or other of these units and we will be happy to reassign your room if the other is available.
PETS Well behaved dogs are welcome. We charge a pet fee of $50 per dog per stay. We'll get in touch with you before your stay to confirm the number and type of dogs, and will request the pet fees at that time.

Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit
Beautiful location, next to construction site.
Spotlessly clean, well appointed, in a beautiful location close to lots of outdoor activities. Unit 18 was a little confusing for us to find because of all the construction going on next door. We needed to park a little closer than at the office parking lot (I’m having trouble walking due to a previous injury) but closer meant schlepping our bags through fresh site prep dirt work around some new building foundations. But once we got settled, it was great! Our two dogs, a golden retriever and a chocolate lab, were able to travel with us, thanks to the pet friendly policy here. Minor issue- the latch on the sliding door to the porch was broken so the room couldn’t really be locked. The adjacent Mazama store has early coffee and bakery goods, excellent bagel sandwiches, etc. Overall we really enjoyed our quick trip down the Methow Valley with all the gorgeous fall colors! Can’t wait to come back next year and see the results of the new construction!

Great remote atmosphere!
Room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Thank goodness the a/c worked great because it was around 100 when we were there. Drawback to the location is that there weren’t too many places to eat nearby.
