Getting around the area

The Ferrocarrilera area offers various transportation options for getting around Mazatlán. You can use taxis, *pulmonías* (open-air taxis), *aurigas* (open-sided trucks), or public transport, depending on your destination and the type of experience you are looking for. `Pulmonías` are one of the most traditional and iconic ways to experience the city, especially when traveling along the Malecón and through tourist areas.

You can also choose to explore the area on foot, use ride-sharing apps, or rent a car if you prefer more freedom to discover Mazatlán and its surroundings.

For a more local experience, we recommend taking a ride in a `pulmonía` along the Malecón while enjoying the Pacific breeze.
