The best hotel in terms of proximity to the Holy Mosque. The staff and receptionists were very friendly. We were offered an upgrade with a room that has a better view. The elevators system is outstanding. You press the floor number and it will direct you to a specific elevator. This saves a lot of time and effort and decreases crowdeness.
However, there were a few negatives about our stay. The first was the intrriors and furniture as it appeared old and degraded (some drawers were broken and paint was washed out and scratched). The second negative was the noises. Around 5:30 AM there was a brief drilling noises. Additionally, you could hear the cleaning staff working and talking loudly in the room beside us.
Let me start with a positive. The location of the hotel in proximity to the Haram is unparalleled. I traveled with my elderly mother and I wanted to make sure we got something close. It is hands-down the best location. It is definitely worth paying a little more and getting a room with a Haram view. The hotel itself is outdated. We opted to buy the breakfast package and was very disappointed. There are plenty of places to eat around and I would not recommend buying the breakfast package. The club lounge is also a waste of money. The staff at the hotel was friendly but do not expect anyone to go above and beyond.
The best Hotel Properties in Makkah...I been there 2 times in the past 3 years and totally recommend Dar Al-Tawhid Intercontinental to anyone visiting the holy place.
Staff amazing and Location is perfect.
I spoke with Mr. Ahmad Al Mukhtar (One of the Hotel senior staff) he was exceptionally Knowledgeable and Polite.
