The parking area is behind the building and there was quite a bit of trash laying around including two broken down cars.Parking behind the building and getting through the common areas to our room, felt very unsafe.The air conditioner in the bedroom did not keep up with the heat.The television and the bedroom light did not work when we got there and we notified the owners immediately, but they didn’t get anyone out there for about a day. The maintenance person replaced the TV but said he couldn’t fix the bedroom light.During remodeling at some phase, a wall or half wall had been removed from over the carpet in the bedroom at the foot of the bed. There were nails still poking up from under the carpet which poked my feet several times, but did not draw blood.The electricity went out in the main room and the bedroom for several hours one day. During this time the lights in the bathroom worked, so it could not have been the power company. Clearly it was the building. We contacted the owner who said they had a crew coming. We asked them twice when we were out whether or not the power had been restored, so that we could make sure to stay out of the room until it was no longer sweltering. They never replied.The layout and character of the place was cool/charming. There were 10 foot ceilings in the main room and a lot of cool old woodwork. The upkeep, however, was a bit offputting.
