The staff in particular were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to assist us and ensure that our stay was memorable. The breakfast was also really good. »

« Check in was the worst customer experience I have seen in many years. I arrived in front of the welcome desk, the lady was busy on her computer, she did not greet me, kept eyes on her screen for a few minutes. Another customer was waiting with me being totally ignored too and not being greeted too. Then the front desk lady looked at me and only asked “what’s the name ?” No “hello” no “sorry for the wait” no “how was your day today” only “what’s the name !” Clearly this person has not been...

« Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised) »

« Lovely Hotel with restaurant. Breakfast was very nice using good quality ingredients. I particulalry enjoyed the bacon. The restaurant was also very good for meals. Location was convenient for the centre of Stevenage. Staff were helpful and attentive. »

« Endroit charmant. Au milieu de la campagne anglaise. Notre chambre était tout en haut il n’y avait pas de pression à la douche idem pour les toilettes, pas d’eau.. Tout l’endroit est désuet mais on est transportés dans un autre temps! Petit déjeuner copieux très british. A 5mn de la gare en taxi. »

« The room was very basic and on the 3rd floor. I wish I had know as I had a very heavy bag to take to my room. The bathroom was one floor down. It is very close to the airport which is why I stayed there and very affordable.. »
