The house and guest house proved to be the perfect setting for a post Christmas family reunion with a bunch of siblings and a boatload of grandkids who enjoyed the house as much as the grownups. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed were comfortable. The different levels were a non issue for us. The weather - meh. There was only one day we could play in the park nearby due to rain, but that's to be expected in Michigan City in December.
Dinner is served. The kitchen had everything we needed for our entire stay.
The park is only a few blocks away.
Don't miss the slide at the far end!

Reviewer Comments: After looking at several houses online, so glad we read the reviews about this house as it offered the best for our ages from 2 yo to 70+. The house was clean, everything we needed was provided as promised, the location was perfect for the wonderfully warm weather we don’t often have at this time of year. We didn’t even miss having a fire pit as we thought we would. I would highly recommend this place for a large extended family. There are 3 floors With the kitchen on the 2nd floor keep that in mind if stairs are a problem for someone in your group, only drawback I can see.

Not the standard we were expecting for this neighborhood

As a small nonprofit we planned this trip to give some of our most loyal donors a retreat. We were disappointed to find this house was not up to the standard of homes we are used to at this price range. When we first walked in the house smelled, the wear and tear of the home was very deviant and the quality of furniture, flooring,etc was not what we paid for. The doorknobs were falling off the kitchen cabinets, some of the outdoor furnace was unusable.the location and amenities were so great. We just wish the house itself was at the same standard as the rest of the area.

Changes in Attitudes and Latitudes gave us plenty of space as a family and for those who wanted some alone time. The stairs kept us all in shale including this 80 year old grandmother. I logged 15,000 steps a day. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Plenty of towels. The home was clean upon our arrival and we tried to leave it just as clean upon our departure. The staff at Beachwalk was spectacular. Answered all our questions and they were so pleasant. This was our first time at this cottage but we have been going to Beachwalk since 2005. We will definitely be back. A couple of suggestions. Glow in the dark tape for the two stairs down from the kitchen and some of the railings need to be tightened especially the stairs going to Latitudes. Thanks for the memories.

We all enjoyed the amenities of Beachwalk and had plenty of room to spread out. Our only thoughts to improve the experience is having a golf cart be part of the property. We had many small children and this would've been helpful to get to the playground. Also, the heat was left on we assume by the property management team and it was very uncomfortable to get settled the first day.

1st-5th times a charm?!

House had everything we needed for a weeks vacation.We have a large family(24+) and the house is set up perfectly(Main house + guest house.)The elders(grandparents/single adults) took the guest house. Very comfortable, perfect for the views of the area; also retreat from the kids/grandkids.The rest of the family took the main house, it had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and dining area had more than enough room for both houses to enjoy meals. Everyone had their own agendas for daytime, but dinner we all got together without issue. Plenty of room for evening boardgame time!The one part of the houses I think everyone liked were the many balconies. Our family is multigenerational, so groups could relax on the many balconies, watch the people("traffic") and do their own thing.The last thing I think that kept us coming back is the location of the house. It's one of closest in the neighborhood to the beach. We also have a short walk to the pool, office, and other Beachwalk resort amenities.Our family would recommend this house to anyone with a medium to large group. We plan on coming here for many more years.
