« This was a great last minute booking for us when we found Houghton did not have snow less than a week before our trip. We quick booked this knowing we would have to trailer our snowmobiles north and we were ok with it. There was a good bar nearby. The only slight issue is communication when we were not getting a response through the app. I finally found a number on an email and was able to communicate that was. Even with that it was a great extended weekend! »

« Our family had a great time staying at the sunshine shack! Lots of room, never felt like we were on top of each other. The basement game area was great for our teens and adults. Extra fridge in the garage made storing everyone’s food simple. The park across the street was great for the younger kids and a family game of kickball. Just one wish would be for a second bathroom but did not ruin our stay at all. We would definitely stay again! »

« My family enjoyed a true home away from home experience! Cozy, comfortable bedrooms and a great layout with multiple places indoors and out for spending time together. Well though out little perks, from the delicious snacks, games, firewood, second full fridge and a large kitchen well equipped and stocked with most staples. I will be back! »

« The house was much bigger than anticipated. I don't feel like the pictures do that justice, but it was a pleasant surprise as we had two families staying in the house with a total of 9 people. The house was clean. One of the AC units stopped working the first night we were there. We messaged Dave, and while we were out exploring the UP the next day, Dave got someone to come out and fix it. He was prompt and very easy to work with. I would stay here again. »

« House was beautiful and well stocked. Large yard for kids to play. Accessible garage with ping-pong, foosball, large grill, and extra refrigerator. Plenty of dry (covered) wood for campfires. Spacious porch for outdoor dining complete with picnic table. Sandbox for littles, pool toys in the shed. The dock was easy to get down to and perfect for playing, swimming, and docking jet skis. Hardwood floors throughout made clean up a breeze. The only thing that would have made this space better...
