My large family and I visited Milwaukee to visit our oldest daughter who lives there temporarily. The house suited us perfectly; it was large enough for us and eight kids. Warm and inviting, it was a perfect place to relax after a chilly December Wisconsin day.
The house was beautiful and as pictured. Everyone had plenty of space and the kitchens & bathrooms had everything we needed (bath products, hair dryers, plenty of dishes & even coffee). Bedrooms had outlets handy and labeled. Even though none of the rooms have a bathroom directly attached (because of the historic nature of the home) it was not an issue for our group of friendly coworkers - at most we had 9 people in the house (7 individuals & 1 couple) and it was still very comfortable - plenty of hot water for showers at the same time!
Having 3 kitchens & 3 living spaces was wonderful so that people could spread out to work or hang out in the evenings.
One thing to be aware of when renting the whole property is the arrangement of the staircases - access from 2nd & 3rd floor to the 1st, you have to walk through a bedroom or around the street door (3 doors into property from the street). We were able to leave those bedrooms open most of the time for general access and then walk around as needed, but may be good to know when planning sleeping arrangements.
Neighbors were lovely and checked in to make sure we didnât get parking tickets (there was always plenty of street parking directly in front and itâs an easy & free online process to register plates) - neighbors also gave us recommendations of good restaurants & bars in the area.
The management was very responsive with any questions or issues. Such a beautiful, unique property, would love to stay there again!
