« Elegant hotel with caring, professional staff. Clean rooms, electric blankets, classy lines and decor. Yeti Mountain Home is THE standard for the region. Be mindful of Yeti Mountain Home LUKLA, on my recent stay, the manager was thugish and deceptive...the lady assistant did her best to mitigate the damage that this brutish trickster is doing to the face of this classy hotel line. « The sister and brother who run this lodge are amazingly gracious and extremely helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, had a great view as well. The food was all made from scratch and was delicious. « Iâm a former Lonely Planet author (books and their editions include Panama 1, Las Vegas 1, Dominican & Haiti 1, YucatĂĄn 1, and one-third of Mexico 5). Iâve stayed at several thousand hotels. I have my favorites and among them is the Namgyal. Itâs not only comfortable, with a wonderful dining room/hang out area, solar room, private bathrooms, hot showers (!!!) and delicious foodâbest veggie burger Iâve ever had, savory Sherpa stew and divine apple pieâbut itâs a place you want to stay for two...
