The Loft w/ Man Cave - Great winter getaway close to Jay Peak!

Welcome to The Loft! We are tucked away in the woods, 5 minutes to the heart of Montgomery Center, VT and under 20 minutes to Jay Peak Ski resort. Live music at the Snowshoe Pub, breakfast at the Oma Cafe, and groceries from Sylvester’s are all just minutes away. Ski/Ride at Jay Peak and enjoy the peaceful backdrop of the woods!

The Loft is a studio apartment located above garage that has been converted to a rec room. The space is ideal for 2 chill guests coming for skiing/snowboarding. I have two other rentals on the property but the structures are spread out and made private both in terms of spacing and trees. The only shared feature is the long driveway. For sleeping arrangements, there is a queen/queen bunkbed and a queen futon in the upstairs. The space was recently remodeled with a new kitchen and bathroom. The downstairs has several futons but is primarily a place to chill, play pool, watch tv etc. The wifi is Starlink, which is a BIG upgrade given that the rest of the town is mostly DSL so our speeds and connectivity is strong. There is a side yard where we have a firepit and chairs, as well as a high table and chairs on the upstairs balcony. There is a stacked washer and dryer in the downstairs along with a pool table, gym equipment, a massive tv :-) and a standing/sitting adjustable desk for work.

***A few main points to highlight are***
1) We are located on a well-maintained dirt road. In the winter, 4WD and or snow tires are highly recommended in northern Vermont, especially for getting up rte 242 to Jay Peak Ski Resort.
*****In mid March the dirt road to our house can get VERY messy and difficult to pass for a day or two at a time when the snow melts. It’s difficult to time but the road will be bad for a day or two and the road crew comes to fix it.*****
2) There are two other buildings on the property that have renters. They are pretty private from one another but I just want to mention up front of course so that guests are aware and they know that it is possible to pass other guests in the long shared driveway.

3) Firewood can be bought in small bundles from Sylvester’s market. I am no longer there/able to provide personally.

4) We have a strict no pets policy due to severe (hospital-type) allergies in the family. We love love dogs but just can’t do it.
