We arrived late and departed early during a brief stay but enjoyed the sound of mooing cows during a brilliant sunrise over the hay bales in the morning. While we did not get to fully explore the property and amenities, the rooms were very comfortable and everything was exactly as described in the listing. Sandra was a great communicator throughout -- before and after our stay -- and even went the extra mile to ship our daughter her brand new stuffies that she got as souvenirs and inadvertently left in her bed overnight.
We enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed and comfortable. Owners were very friendly. The house is on a large ranch and took us half an hour to reach once you left the main road. We didnât mind but maybe this should be stated in the description so people would know. Thanks for a relaxing stay.
The property was not as described. There was black mold at the baseboards, a dead animal smell, the AC did not function (it was 87), the beds looked like they had been slept in, and the bathroom floor was ready to collapse. We did not stay and contacted the host to let her know that we were not staying and why. We then had serious issues with VRBO and will not be using them again. A very unpleasant experience.
We had a wonderful stay. We loved the location on the ranch. The Hosts are very nice and hospitable. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax in.
Sandra was so kind! As soon as she saw our little ones, she took a slide out of her barn and cleaned it up for them to play on. She also brought over breakfast coffee cake for us, leaving it in the grill so she didn't disturb us. The house was old but spacious and comfortable. The kids LOVED running through the big rooms and playing in the yard.
We crashed here on our way out West from the midwest. Owner was very kind and wonderfully accomodating with our late arrival. The house is very roomy and had plenty of space for our crew!
This place is a step back in time with a beautiful view. The Host is exceptional and was always there for us, checking in to see if anything was needed. It is extremely peaceful. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the antelope play, and we could see Devils Tower and Keyhole from the yard. It offered plenty of room and had everything we needed. We will be back.
Old property on the open range. Approx. 5 miles on a gravel road thru the open range. Bring your food with you and you will find everything to cook with. Peaceful...
My daughter and I are always able to find comfort here. The house has a lot of space and gives us as much privacy as we want. We have the option to work with Sandra and Dave on the property as much or little as we want. They are even willing to share their meals. Their generosity abounds. We will continue to stay here for every trip through Wyoming!!!
The hosts were great. They took care of any need that arose and made us feel right at home. They were both very welcoming and easy to talk to.
The house is in a quiet, fairly remote location that felt very safe. We could see Devil's Tower from one of the bedrooms and several farm animals in the fields nearby.
The house has some maintenance issues that the hosts have been addressing while there are no guests. (a soft spot in the master bedroom floor, a loose cabinet door under the kitchen sink, and thin curtains/ drapes). None of these were major issues and they were easy to work around.
Sandra the hostess is warm & welcoming and very accommodating, you only need to ask. The home is very outdated and would be similar to visiting grandparents farm house in the 40's. We were visiting in early June and the ac just couldn't keep up with the humidity. Also to get to the accommodations you should know that you need to drive on gravel road for ~4 miles and even then the hostess had to drive out and lead us to the home. If you usually choose Holiday Inn, Best Western, Quality Inns, etc. this home would not meet those standards.
We did enjoyed experiencing close up encounters with cows/calves and viewing antelopes and other wildlife.
We really liked the size of the home, friendliness of the hosts, and the serenity of the location. The only real issue was finding the property in the dark. One thing that would have helped is emphasizing the exit to take and perhaps putting a solar light on the sign at the gate
This trailer with add-ons is literally out in the middle of a ranch and nearly impossible to find. Something you might expect at a summer camp. It met our needs but did not meet our expectations. The host is a wonderfully welcoming and kind lady, but much was omitted from this listing and we would not have booked if we'd been given an honest description. There were no keys so leaving our things there and coming back wasnt an option. Excellent host, pitiful property.
What a wonderful time we had in WY. We drove from WNY to fish at Keyhole Reservoir. We stayed at David and Sandra's camp on their working cattle ranch. It was fun to leave early each morning for fishing and be greeted by cute calves playing with each other. David and Sandra's ranch was a perfect location for us. It was a quiet retreat when we were there and close not only to several reservoirs but many places we visited in WY and SD, most within a 2 hour drive. The house worked well for us because we were able to cook our meals there, mainly fish we had caught, do laundry, and have plenty of space to spread out and store our many traveling items. Wifi was also available. David and Sandra were so friendly and they treated us to farm family gathering where we met some of their 6 children and 19 grandchildren. They are special people who love their family and work very hard on the ranch and in their community. We are so happy to have had and extended stay at the camp of such special people while in WY.
We used the home as base station while we worked on a nearby project. We were providing 24 / 7 supervision on a nearby project. It was nice to have a place where we could cook, do laundry, relax, and sleep. With out the hassle of doing the same in a hotel.
Would certainly stay again.
