Repos au sein d'un village à la campagne

  • Right in the middle of a quiet rural village and situated in the lake county, (good fishing area) an hour from Dublin, this is the ideal spot to relax or use as a base to travel from. Golf is big, with 5 golf courses within half an hour travelling distance. The house, once the village bakery, is to the rear of Weirs Bar & Restaurant, our award winning Gastro Pub. Our restaurant open's Wed-Sat 12.30 -8.30pm & Sunday, 12.30-8pm. The house is decorated quite modernly and we will do our best to help you enjoy your holiday.
    We have just received a Bridgestone Award 'Best in Ireland 2022' so we are delighted with that.

Great Stay

Loved our stay here, wonderful little town! Would definitely stay again. The home was very comfortable and the owner Una was very kind and helpful. Restaurant next door also run by Una is an added bonus and very good. Recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a quiet peaceful place to stay with access to many attraction within an hour or so driving distance.

Great stay in Weirs Pub and Restaurant. Apartment accomodation next to the pub is quirky and open planned. Spacious, clean and great facilties. The food in the restaurant is really good and over all VFM. Great spot centrally located for stop off enroute to Cork,Galway or Dublin

We loved staying here! Not fancy but has everything you need. Best part about it is Pat and Una Weir- great hosts, incredible food in the pub and the best bunch of “regulars” who hold court in the bar. Great location to go and visit Dublin- close without being in the crazy! We hope to visit again someday!

Exactly what you would want if you had a cottage in Ireland

It’s perfectly located for day trips, right next to an amazing pub with great food and good beer. The owners are friendly, helpful and informative. It has all the amenities that you need for an extended stay. The WiFi is great, it has a nice kitchen, a good sized comfortable bed, wading machine, access to a dryer. It was a great to relax between day trips and we had a fabulous vacation. We would definitely visit Una and Pat again!

A Perfect Location, A Perfect Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Weir's property. It is a perfect amount of space, and a lovely place to come home to at the end of the day. We also ate at the owner's restaurant, and the food was amazing! Note: the restaurant and pub are closed (at least currently) Mon-Wed.

City access, at a country pace

We stayed in Multyfarnham for easy access to Dublin, and found it to be just that. Close enough to be convenient, but far enough out to be a quiet little village, which is much more our speed. Dinner at Weirs was SO GOOD, and it was nice to have it right there. All the staff was very welcoming and helpful, we could feel that they were truly happy to host and take care of all their guests. The house is so roomy and was a great place to land after a day in the city.

Cosy cottage an hour from Dublin

We had a lovely stay at Una’s property. We were two sisters on holiday with our mother from Canada, who traces her ancestry back to multiple location in Ireland, so Una’s rental was a perfect choice as it wa more central, yet still close to Dublin, giving us the best of both worlds. Una was a wonderful host who immediately made us feel at home. The house had many amenities and clearly was prepared with thought and care, and we loved visiting the Weir’s restaurant next door, and particularly appreciated that they had vegan options! We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

WONDERFUL STAY

We stayed her for 3 weeks as it was close to being central in the Republic of Ireland. Wonderful hosts, wonderful meals in the pub, great meeting some of the locals and in a few short days we felt like locals. The accommodation was clean and everything that we needed was at hand. Pat and Unawere both so nice and welcoming, and Poppy was just a joy! Also Una's cheese cake was to die for! Thanks for taking us to the bog. Your location near the middle of Ireland was perfect for our trip. Molly wants to live here now. I left my hammock hanging in the trees, You might want to take it down in the winter, but it's a perfect place. I also left the sleeping bag in case other guests want to camp in the hedge. Anyway thanks for that great stay, we love Ireland!

Home from home - 10 star!

The most wonderful stay - the property was absolutely spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed, extremely well equipped and fantastic bits (tea,coffee etc) to get you started. Quiet friendly village with fantastic local shop and The Weir is fantastic for a drink and food. Pat and Una are both fantastic hosts, the best property we have ever stayed in. Starting our Ireland adventure

Pat and Una Weir were attentive and gracious hosts. We arrived around 18:00(6:00 pm) after exploring the ancient New Grange/ Boyne Valley area. Even though Una was very busy welcoming diners she showed us the apartment straight away and explained how everything works. We had not made reservations for the evening meal and they were having to turn away customers Pat brought in another table and chairs. Owners Una and Patrick "Pat" Weir are the warmest and friendliest hosts we've ever encountered. We arrived from a late flight at 9:00 o'clock and were welcomed immediately by Una as we parked our car in front of Weirs Bar & Restaurant. Even though the kitchen had closed, she handed us menus and made us comfortable while a lovely meal was prepared for us. She then showed us our comfortable accommodations and we quickly felt at home. It was a wonderful week for us as we enjoyed several tours that the Weirs suggested. We’ve just left to visit another part of Ireland and we miss their friendly smiles already!

Surpising Gem

We stayed in 6 different VRBO rentals all over Ireland this past month. Of them all, this was the best of all. It was very clean, had an attentive host (managing the lovely restaraunt in front), it was quiet and secluded, the grounds were beautiful...and best of all, the Multifarnham area was astounding. I took a short walk and found the Abbey in town that included a botanical garden with cafe (and tea houses scattered around the grounds), and an amazing park and walking paths around the Abbey. We went to Trim and th Belvedere mansion grounds south of Mulliganar, and spent an easy day in Dublin, all from this location. An easy last drive to the airport from here.

Irish Hospitality

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with this rental. The property was charming and near the excellent restaurant/pub run by the owners. I could enjoy live pub music one night, and the next, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals served to us. Best of all, Pat and Una went above and beyond the duties of hosts. When my car unexpectedly -- and suddenly -- developed problems with its clutch, Una immediately contacted a friend, a mechanic, who was able to repair the car within a day. Meanwhile, she had lent us her own car to enable us to carry out our plans to visit a dear friend in Sligo. They were so friendly and kind! I hope we can return someday and meet them again.

We contacted Una and let her know we were going to be in town earlier and asked for things to do to fill our time until we arrived and she instantly offered us to check in early. Una and Pat were so friendly. They visited with us and that aspect of getting to know each other was wonderful. We used this home as home base to go to The cliffs of Moher and Kilkenny Castle. Ran into Mulingar to grab lunch and shop, which was only 15 minutes away. Mulingar had a great Pub, Danny Byrnes, I would highly suggest going if possible. Una and Pat’s pub was through the roof, the best food, company, service, atmosphere and wood stove! Una brought us brown bread and fresh butter at the home. Pat suggested TullyNally castle and it is a must! It’s nearby and is still occupied but an older man, amazing. I truly could not ask for better hosts.Thanks Una & Pat. Jesus bless you

The Real Ireland

We had hoped to experience "the real Ireland" and that goal was achieved. This apartment gave us a great central location for visiting the Midlands and East to Dublin. Pat and Una gave us such a warm welcome - we really felt like part of the family. Additionally, we spent some lovely evenings at Weir's Bar and Restaurant for great food, great drink and, best of all, Irish hospitality.
