Mornings here happen on the patio. The lake sits just past the edge of the grass, flat and quiet before the day warms up, and the first coffee gets carried outside whether or not that was the plan. It is a small thing that turns out to be the whole point of booking somewhere on the water instead of somewhere near it.

The cottage was renovated recently and it lives the way a good small space should. Living and dining run together in one open, bright room, and the kitchen is a full one, set up for actually cooking dinner rather than reheating it. There is a dedicated workspace with solid Wi-Fi for anyone stretching a vacation into a work week, and a private entrance, so coming and going stays your own business.

Two bedrooms sleep six. The first has a queen, the second holds a pair of double beds, which sorts out kids, teenagers, or two friends happy to share. One bathroom with a walk-in shower serves the cottage, so this suits a family or two couples more than a group all trying to get out the door at once. Storage is generous for a cottage this size, and the dog is welcome.

Evenings belong outside. The patio is private and faces the water, with a fire pit table at the center of it and the grill a step away, so dinner and the hours after it happen in the same place. The light over a Florida lake at dusk does most of the work.

The location is the quiet advantage. Vanderbilt Beach and its stretch of powdery Gulf sand is about five minutes by car, with Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park just north of it for emptier sand, shelling, and one of the better sunsets on this coast. Closer than that, you are a few blocks from restaurants, bars, shopping, and a supermarket, which means the milk run is a walk and the first night does not start with a drive. Mercato's dining and shopping sit nearby on the Vanderbilt Beach Road corridor, and Naples proper, with Fifth Avenue South and the pier, is a straightforward drive south. Pickleball and golf are both close, which in this corner of Florida is less a bonus than a way of life. The Paradise Coast Sports Complex is about twenty minutes out for tournament weekends, and RSW airport is roughly thirty, so travel days stay short at both ends.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.
