Vomit & Comet
Although the place was nice, the cleaning service had not done a very good job between stays. The most disturbing was vomit in the upstairs bedroom between the two beds and even in the nightstand drawer. Evidence of a night of chords and cocktails, specifically cranberry and likely vodka, had been left as a welcome gift. In addition, there was some kind of weird smell coming from the kitchen that it took a couple of days to figure out. Apparently there was some rotten food permanently locked in the microwave insert. Rather than removing the unusable appliance, it was just left in the niche, and another working microwave was placed on the countertop. There was also somewhat of a struggle to get into the place. The managing company was fairly responsive when we reached out, but we were initially told to use a garage code even though there was no garage. The check in app did not include a code even though we were repeatedly told that it did, and the code we were given by text did not work either. After the delay to get in we were greeted with the nastiness in the bedroom. One night we came home to a druggie/homeless person hanging on the stoop, but she was very polite and left immediately after we told her to leave. Despite having to do some cleaning ourselves and the check-in hiccups, we enjoyed the place overall, especially the rooftop.
