« What a fun and quirky caboose! This was the perfect base camp for us and our motley crew, and Gina and Paul were just lovely. The lake was beautiful and location spot on for chasing waterfalls and Superior beach time with the pups. The caboose was super charming with everything we needed….we would love to stay again! »

« Perfect location, a quick 10 minute drive into downtown but also near a gas station and few other fast food places. The beach is gorgeous and the sunrises and sunsets were amazing. The home was perfect and well stocked! We will definitely stay again. »

« The location is quiet and private.There are 5 cottages and a main house so you have some privacy. The cottages are nice and have all your necessities. The view of the lake is beautiful! We all enjoyed our stay at Elemental on beautiful Shag Lake! Our host George was helpful and communication was perfect! »

« Great location for ice fishing and snowmobile riding. Up North Lodge restaurant/bar is only minutes away with a great menu selection.We rented two cabins which were perfect for our party of 8. Kitchens are a bit small, but have everything you need for cooking meals. Host was great to work with. »

« I booked the house for the Marji Gesick mountain bike race. I had five friends travel with me as a support crew. The house was excellent for our needs. Plenty of beds and 1.5 bathrooms. A well stocked and large kitchen and plenty of living space. Outdoors was a nice grill, screened in house on the lake and a canoe. I caught a pike right off the dock Friday! There was even a garage to store our bikes in overnight. It was a little challenging to find at first but not a big deal. Greqt place for...

« Great place to stay loved that they welcomed pets. Only complaint was that another guest kept letting their dogs roam around off leash. Would definitely visit again.. »

« Roose's Roost was the perfect home base for our UP adventures! The house was immaculately clean, well maintained, and outfitted with all of the items to make it feel like home. The deck was amazing- we enjoyed the swinging chair and the gas firepit especially. The lake was beautiful and deep enough to jump off the end of the dock. Our hosts were very helpful and easy to get in touch with. If we ever travel back to the UP, we would definitely book Roose's Roost again! »

« This was our second stay here, and just as impressive as the first! The house is beautiful with nearly every window giving you a view of the Huron Bay and all the comforts you would expect (and more). The grounds are spacious and well maintained, and also offer you many perspectives of the bay to enjoy sunsets and stars!! The hosts are friendly, attentive and offered great communication. I don't think we have stayed in a more completely fantastic VRBO ever and we are already looking forward to...

« Property as described! Robin and her family live in a separate house on the property but the carriage house is completely private and cozy. 15 minutes to downtown Marquette and 30-40 minutes to Munising/Pictured Rocks. We came for the fall foliage (we were a little on the late side; Robin said the second weekend in October is best), but we still had a lot of great color and hiking. »

« This was a nice cabin. There are five cabins on the owners' property. The owners had good communication but were otherwise unobtrusive. The main hot tub is shared with cabins 1-4, but cabin 5 has its own private one. Most importantly I took my rescue pitbull and had no issues with the owners or other guests. Some properties have a lot of dog rules so I was pleased to see this property was more lenient. »

« We had an awesome weekend getaway at Cabin 5. The hot tub was nice after an evening of fishing. My husband caught 7 fish and I caught my first fish! The shower was a little tricky at first but once you figure it out it makes sense. The sink water pressure wasn’t that great but we didn’t have much use for it since we didn’t have much dishes nor needed it to cook with. If so, you just have to be patient . The beds are super comfy and overall cabin 5 was just perfect for the two of us plus our pup....
