This building and this 3-bedroom apartment are in good condition and in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance of the Morial Convention Center. Wall to wall windows in the main living area give a view of New Orleans, mostly a freeway overpass and another apartment building and parking lot. I cannot be as complimentary about our host's attention to detail, however. The apartment features four TVs, but only three in working order and only one remote control unit, which did not have batteries in it when we arrived. Though the apartment sleeps six, kitchen equipment featured two forks, four knives, and two water glasses. There were plenty of coffee cups and the coffee maker worked well. When we arrived, we had already received the code to enter the building and the apartment. However, the outside door to the building was unlocked and the door to the apartment was propped open via its deadbolt. We had to cautiously inspect the apartment to make sure no one was inside.If you use this VRBO rental, bring your own soap and washcloths. Otherwise, the bathrooms were clean and comfortable, with decent hot water and dual sinks. There were plenty of towels, but no rug to put down in front of the shower. (We found one on the maid's cart and assumed it was OK to take it.)So, 4 stars for the space, not 5, because, as an interior apartment, there are no windows in the bedrooms, And 2 stars for customer service and attention to detail. Hence my 3-star rating.
