This was an amazing trip. The location is actually really great. We were worried about having to walk to the beach, but with the street crosswalk and the path to the beach, it was very easy to get there - about 5 to 10 minutes of walking. Two pools! Yes, two! Both pools were excellent and perfect temp. Also, they are both, as far a we could tell, saltwater pools.
The beach is perfect. Not very crowded and really soft, nice sand.
The only issue we had was with the instructions on what to do when we got there. First, we didn't realize you have to take a pool pass with you to the pools. The pass says "Guest Pass" on it. The leasing company did not let us know to bring this with us to the pool. We also didn't understand the key labeled "outdoor storage." We discovered, in talking with some of the other tenants that this key opened a storage area by the elevator. Inside? All sorts of beach stuff. Again, not mentioned by Great Ocean Condos. Next, there was a closet in the unit, that had even more beach/pool stuff - didn't find this until our last day!
We also had two issues in the unit. The second bathroom had a very, very slow drain. So slow, that some of our party did not want to shower there. I let the renter know, but never heard back from them. Last, the bass of the blender was cracked and the blender was unusable - also mentioned to Great Oceans, and they did not address this.
Overall, this was one of the best places we have stayed, but I may be looking for a different company to rent through.
