This Best Western is a clean, well serviced hotel. The hot breakfast was good with a lot of variety. We did have a problem with our KEY cards, both with our room, and especiall with the outside Door 3. The man at the desk one evening was a bit rude to us as we had to keep coming back to keep our keys redone. (They were working on the outside door the next day.) Apparently the key system is from the 1970s, and a lot of people get frustrated with it, staff and guests. Other than this, the rest of the staff was quite pleasant and we had an enjoyable stay.

Our stay was overall quite nice and I would stay there again. Our big complaint was that we could not get into our room. The handle/lock system on our room door was falling off. After returning from breakfast we were unable to gain entrance to our room. Fortunately a maintenance worker was able to help us. He said the door had been needing repaired.

The Front Desk staff on Friday 11/24 could not have been more accommodating phenomenally positive and the nicest person ever!! I ran into a woman who was tending to rooms. I THANKED her for all of her hard work!! The staff tending to breakfast was the nicest calmest person ever!!! I thanked her several times! We had 2 rooms by the pool one was and a joined so 3 we had another across as well!! THANKS to the whole staff! Our rooms were FANTASTIC!

BWNU is not a new building, but is very well maintained & clean! The citrus scented bathroom amenities are upscale. Fresh Torte signature blend coffee in the lobby at 6:30 am on a Monday is always appreciated. We enjoyed a fall weekend stay.

Was at this location for a seminar. unfortunately it rained so was not able to get out hiking in the area like i planned too. was a little disjointed that the restaurant (Green Mill) attached to the property had only a limited menu on a Sunday afternoon and only 1 NFL game up on all the TV's. on a Sunday afternoon, that is not how you get return biz. but, the hotel was nice for the price

The staff and facilities were fantastic. However, we were unable to get peace and quite on the second night, until after midnight, because our room was right next to the wedding reception scheduled that night. The DJ's music was reverberating throughout our room the entire night. Its totally okay to have the wedding reception. We just wish they would have placed our room farther away, being that we were not part of the wedding and here on buisness. The loss of sleep negatively affected our trip a great deal.

If this is the best New Ulm has to offer! IDK
Our family had 5 rooms, every room had some sort of issue, some needed dehumidifier which were either loud or needed to be emptied, one had a spider, my room a/c was set at 70 but felt much warmer during the night and semi junk toilet, nothing you couldn't live with but hard to justify nearly $200 per night each. Which reminds me, I had prepaid for my room6 months in advance, but the front desk still ran my card again, when I came back the next morning with my documentation proving I was double charges I was told that the card Hotels.com was unable to be run at check in and that is why was double charged, but it went through the second day and that I will get a refund in3-5 days, I am still waiting for the refund to show up but it hasn't been 5 days yet. This is the first time that has ever happened to me over the 50+ times I have booked through Hotels.com. The good No problem with breakfast, that was decent and I also liked the pool area. I don't know if the attached Green Mill Restaurant is owned by someone else, but that experience has just OK as well. I have not plans to return to New Ulm if this is the best you have to offer

It's really the only place in New Ulm. I guess it was a Holiday Inn but has been taken over by Best Western. They are painting and making some upgrades. The night I was there the restaurant had a limited menu due to some kind of cooler problem. We arrived about 1: pm and was greeted with an empty reception desk. When the clerk finally showed up from another task and I'd told him my name and reservation his response was "You do know that check-in isn't until 3 pm!?' Yes. I did know but I was just checking. The place seemed empty. There were kids and families screaming in the pool at 10:00 pm. New Ulm is an adorable town. If I came again, I'd stay at an AirBnB.
