The host was wonderful. It was for my son's wedding so he worked hard to get us in early to get ready. The place was great. We all enjoyed our stay. Their dog was able to stay during the ceremony and get picked up for photos which was so nice.

Perfect birdwatching getaway

Our stay was seamless. We visited Plum Island for a long weekend birdwatching excursion. This was the perfect spot. We travelled with our cat for the first time, and considering how cats can be, he warmed up to the space right away. Michael sent all the information we needed for our stay, prior to our arrival. Easy in, easy out. The couch is soo comfortable in the living room! Kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and gadgets one would need to prepare meals easily. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to control the temperature of the unit. It was quiet and although there were other homes nearby, it still felt private due to the dunes in the back yard ( also not peak season ). The brilliant colors of the sunrise and sunsets were visible from inside the house and just a few steps out the front door were unobstructed views of the sunset. Bonus for those inflicted with celiac disease, the restaurant 400 feet away had gluten free buns and a kick ass burger. Everything we needed was in this space and we didn’t need to contact Michael for anything while we’re there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Winter getaway

My fiance and I stayed at the house for a long weekend. It is a great location and nice place to stay. The rooms are spacious and set up nicely. The full shower is very nice. We walked to the beach from the house every day. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This home was exactly as described. Good location with many activities to do and see on the island. Wonderful place! Ask the locals about the island! They were all so helpful and nice! I would recommend this home and hope to come back again someday to see more of Massachusetts!

Quick Beach Escape

The location was great, pet friendly, comfortable beds and furniture. Well equipped kitchen, nice beach bar restaurant 5 minute walk and 10 minute walk to the beach. Very safe area, the surf at the beach is a little tough for small children but with close supervision we all had a great time

If you love your cat this is the place

My wife and I had never vacationed with our cat. It was great. The cat enjoyed it. We enjoyed having the cat. Thanks Mike. The place is cozy, clean, and accessible. We only live up the road in the next town. We stayed here while work was being done at our home. This place is making us reconsider why we go great distances for vacation. Plum Island is a great refuge (in more ways than one). Next vacation may be closer to home. Thanks for everything.

Family Getaway

Had a wonderful long weekend getaway at Mike’s property with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. The house was extremely clean and perfect for our needs. Check in and out was simple. Mike was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and a pleasure to rent from. We will certainly be back.

Fabulous two-day getaway

My two girlfriends and I spent a lovely mid-week stay in this three bedroom home. There’s plenty to do in the area from shopping, sightseeing to restaurants. You could choose to stay in and enjoy a Bonfire or just relax on the porch watching the moon rise from the deck while BBQ’ing. Awesome Plum Island retreat!

Secluded with great outdoor space

Cozy 3 bedroom, upper unit, with lots of open, usable outdoor space outside. We didn't feel at all boxed in by other houses (which one can feel on Plum Island). Very responsive owner, who provided excellent info about what to expect. It is not upscale (as photos can suggest), but clean and adequately supplied. We came off-season. Be aware that restaurants have very limited hours and possibly provisions. I'm not sure how one accesses the main beach if one wanted to swim, but I am sure there is access. (This is some ways to the beach.) We found a great walk along beach via Parker Refuge, exit 6.

Great long weekend

Comfortable getaway, beautiful setting

This trip was planned at the last minute. The owner was very accommodating as to check in date (less than a full week). Plum Island was beautiful. The property is close to beach, sightseeing/hiking and restaurants but still quiet and spacious. Dog was happy walking the back roads. House was comfortable. Good kitchen, but pots and pans could have been cleaner coming in. Mattresses are probably ready for replacement next season. But, all in all, a lovely place to spend a week. And Plum Island is certainly worth a second visit.

Good Value

Rental & location were a good value for the price. The house was clean and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The only items missing that I had expected were face clothes and beach towels. The squeaky beds made it difficult to fall asleep though.

College Friends Reunion on PI

We had a wonderful stay at this Plum Island Oasis. It was a short walk to all the great restaurants/pubs and beach. The apartment was clean, bright and welcoming. Easy parking and entry system! We look forward to returning soon!

Sisters weekend

Michael was a very thoughtful host. My sisters and I were honoring what would have been our mother's 91st birthday. As kids she would take us to Plum Island, where she went as a little girl, and we would have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on the beach. A sweet note and all the makings for PB&J sandwiches were there when we arrived. It touched our hearts. The property was lovely. We really enjoyed the privacy of the location. There were turkey's and bunnies in the back yard that were fun to watch.

Excellent Property

We needed a base to get away from a house remodel and this was exactly what we were looking for. Great place and comfortable, close to Plum Island things to do and not far from Newburyport with even more food and shopping etc. Plenty of room and the beach items that were available came in very handy. Overall, very happy with this property, would definitely return again in the future.
