« We stayed at this beautiful home for our large family reunion and it exceeded our expectations. Everyone had a fantastic time. We all loved the pool, playing ping pong, beach volleyball and being able to walk onto the sand and enjoy the waves. « The apartment is nice, though it does need some remodeling. Marianela, the host, was very hospitable—an excellent person. The one exception was Sunday, when the power and water went out—though that is beyond the host's control and is a city issue. However, the place is cozy; just be sure to arrive in an SUV or off-road vehicle, as you have to drive up steep trails that a standard car wouldn't be able to handle. »

« I recommend Tuani Lodge for nature lovers and those looking for a cabin-in-the-jungle experience. The road to get to the lodge is very dark, poorly marked, bumpy and uneven so a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and a lot of clearance would be best. We got a small bit of damage from driving in our small SUV. That being said, once you're on the highway it is not far from town and it is a very cool experience feeling so remote and close to nature. This is not the place for you if you are scared of bugs...

« Come here for authentic Nicaraguan lifestyle. Simple bedrooms, cold showers and Mom's cooking. Mark is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Mark hosts every meal and invited guides to inform us about hiking the volcanoes and arranged a 4-wheeler to come directly to the hostel which was very convient.
