Hotel Nisbet

« Booking restaurant reservations for more than six people is via an automated telephone system which isn’t managed. Very difficult to book a table. Book on line should provide a larger table capacity selection or provide an email to request a table for larger parties not the telephone system. »

« Don’t expect leisure access. »

« We stayed in about 10 hotels in Scotland, but this was the first and the best one by far: the warm welcome, the quality of the service (bringing a heater when we were cold, immediately responding to expressed needs), family atmosphere and quality breakfast in a family atmosphere. Thank you! »

« The staff was more than helpful, food was superb, room was cosy, because I couldn’t have breakfast they put me up a packed lunch. More than happy to stay again. »

« Very friendly welcome, nice clean room. Ammazzinggg breakfast so good and not greasy. Evening meals very tasty. Have stayed a few times and it never fails to disappoint. . »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« Colin and Lisa were superb and friendly hosts and the stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were well prepared according to taste. We were delighted with our two nights' stay there and will hopefully return soon. »

« Convenient location bang in the middle of Selkirk. Hotel has a nice bar and restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast very good but, at £35 a head, very expensive. »

« Such a lovely quiet area , the garden area on good day is great to sit out in , breakfast is really good too »
