Hotel Nord de l'Indiana

« The hotel was very nice. The rooms are very roomy. The separate dressing room with an extra sink is nice. We had a balcony which was great. The only thing I didn’t like was the soap which had no scent. I never give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement, but it was rated very high like it was the last time we stayed there. »

« The staff at the VanBuren Hotel were friendly and able to answer any questions about the town. There was no wait to check in and I appreciated knowing which entrance was closest to my room. The room was clean, although a bit worn. The coverlet was thin and the mattress a bit saggy. There was plenty of convenient parking. Breakfast wasn’t fancy; just your normal breakfast buffet. I appreciated the fresh fruit and the coffee was good. »

« Room was in good condition and clean. Breakfast items included Scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, two cold cereals, pot of oatmeal, yogurt, juice, a small number of fresh fruit, bread, and bagels. Very close to Interstate 80 and restaurants. They add a $50 incidentals charge upon check-in that is to be credited after check-out. I don't care for these types of charges as you need to keep track of whether your credit card is credited as stated. There isn't a clock in the room, and we didn't...

« We love the place very neat and quiet! »

« No elevator, so had to carry luggage to second floor since no rooms available on first floor. This was surprising since there were only four or five rooms used that night. There were no grab bars ln the shower/bath tub and no anti slip applications on the tub bottom. I do not recommend this facility for seniors whether just aged or have a balance problem or some other disability. The general maintenance is less than a quality standard . »

« Appears to be newly built. Bathroom fixtures are still sparkly. Staff was just as sparkly and helpful. Had a fantastic stay. »

« The rooms at the property need to be updated. The pool was not clean. The towels are very small. However, breakfast was nice with different options available. Snacks were available for a reasonable price. It appears as though the new owners are trying to update the property. The exterior has had many updates and the interior common areas have been updated. The beds are not comfortable. We’ve stayed three times and each time found the bed to be inadequate. Also the bathrooms within the rooms...

« Great spot, it was quiet. The only thing missing was some pillows since we only had one each and like to have 2… the pool was out of order so that was a bummer. Also the coffee machine didn’t work at breakfast and there were no bread to toast or any protein to go with the eggs. »
