« We enjoyed our stay at this classic VT farmhouse. Our family and friends found it very comfortable and relaxing. Our dog loved it as well. We took advantage of the wood stove (had to get some kindling and newspaper to get it started). Maybe think about getting a few more knives, forks and spoons. We had 8 for a couple of nights and used all 8 provided. Loved the location. Nice uphill walks and just a 6 minute drive to Sugarbush pkg lot. All in all a great week. Would come back here...

« Perfectly nestled in the wooded mountains. Totally secluded, with no other visible houses, even in the winter. The layout and decor feels very modern, but comfortable; with a ski theme throughout. The kitchen is well equipped. This would be a perfect rental for a ski/snowboard trip as there’s plenty of room for gear and a great basement entrance to take your boots off. The hot tub seemed very well maintained and was ready upon our arrival. The star gazing from the tub was superb! »

« This mountain retreat is stunning from the views to the amenities, with an enormous kitchen, well stocked with just about any cooking utensil/dish you could imagine. « Our group of seven had a wonderful stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. It is a lovely quiet area, but close to the downtown area of Warren. We were in VT for our daughter's graduation from Middlebury College, about a 45 minute drive away, which was perfect for us. It allowed us to avoid the hustle and bustle of the graduation crowds, but allowed us easy access to all campus activities. We would definitely stay again! »

« We spent the night in Mad River Valley at the 1830 House for a weekend event. The house was clean and cosy and it accommodated all of us. The Wifi worked well and we loved the privacy each of us had in our own rooms. We also appreciated the kitchen (there are two, if you book the whole house - one up and one down!). It was close to our venue, the Mad River Barn, too. The only downside (minor) was the steep stairwell to the second floor. There was no railing to guide guests. My 84-year-old mom...

« A great place to enjoy lovely mountain views from the dining area and sunroom. On a clear day you can use the telescope to see the moon's terrain. The cool weather was glorious for sleeping without air conditioner although ACs were in every room if needed. We enjoyed playing fussball, throwing darts, and playing volleyball (brought our own) on the extensive lawn. Cleared paths around the property made morning walks so peaceful and relaxing.
