« Great place slightly removed from the noisy city center (~30-minute walk through interesting neighborhoods—we like to walk!—or 14 minutes by easy public transport) with a local neighborhood feel, a pretty river close by, and convenient services (grocery stores, an excellent bakery). Bergen can have a chill in the mornings and evenings, being close to so much water, so we were extremely happy to feel the ambient heat under our feet. « The apartment was wonderful. The location was wonderful that you could walk to everything. A couple things not mentioned that not being from area would have been nice to know. Top floor is 5 flights on a narrow stairway so if you have luggage be prepared. Apartment is next to an all night bar and a McDonald’s. People were outside until 6am. So with windows open you heard everything. The ally to get to apartment was filled with broken glass and trash. »
