« Excellent lakeside view. True peace and quiet. Courteous and friendly owners who respond to messaging extremely fast. 30 minutes from the Canadian border in Lubec with some stunning vistas. We travelled here from NJ for Halloween weekend in late October 2025, and the trees were turning and changing colors all along the drive up, and all throughout Maine. Cozy cabin vibes and an easy to use fireplace with plenty of firewood. Highly recommended. »

However, if you are not that fond of tight spaces or old-fashioned style and your traveling companions are looking for luxury and privacy, you might want to look elsewhere. « Was a perfect little retreat for the night. The hot tub on the lake was amazing we couldn’t have asked for a better night. Huge full moon and clear skies. Only downfall was we just stayed one night! But the cottage is very cozy. They have some board games downstairs and the tv has Hulu Netflix setup in it so don’t have to log into your own! Has a full kitchen to cook whatever. The local grocery store Ledyard Village market is very close fully stocked and has amazing hot to go food. »
