Super freundliches Personal und sehr hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen. Saubere Unterkunft, etwas außerhalb, dafür aber ruhig und nicht so teuer =) Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden wieder kommen!

Servicewüste
Perfekte lage um mit dem boot rüber nach sf zu fahren aber leider ziemlich abgewohnt. Türschloss klemmt, küche mit seltsamen flecken, komfortsessel ohne richtige funktion... Frauenhaare im bett... In unserem 2 ten zimmer toilette unsauber. Als highlight an einer nacht party im obersten stock, an schlaf nicht zu denken, hotelpersonal bemerkt es nicht oder will nicht. Am nächsten tag sehr unfreundliche abhandlung der problematik. Morgens kaffee zeitig aus und auch auf nachfrage nach 30 min kein neuer. Schade wegen der guten lage aber sicher nie mehr.

Das Hotel an sich ist wirklich gut. Die Lage ist etwas abseits aber nett an einem Yachthafen. 10 Minuten zu Fuß oder 3 mit dem Auto entfernt liegt eine kleine Einkaufpassage, in der es auch einige Restaurants bzw. Diners und Fastfood gibt. Leider hatten wir ein kleines Problem mit dem Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Studio mit King-Bett reserviert. Leider hat man uns dann ein Studio mit Queen-Bett gegeben. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, dass kein Studio mit King-Bett mehr verfügbar war. Da wir damit nicht einverstanden waren, suchte die durchaus nette Dame weiter und gab uns dann doch ein anderes Zimmer. Das war allerdings kein Studio mehr, sondern ein "normales" Zimmer. Da uns die Größe des Bettes aber wichtiger war, als die des Zimmers haben wir es dann dabei belassen. Das Zimmer an sich war auch so groß genug. Ein großes Bett, Flatscreen-Fernseher. Außerdem gab es eine kleine Küche mit großem Kühlschrank, Spüle, Tellern, Herdplatten und Toaster. Frühstück wird in dem Hotel nicht wirklich angeboten. Es gibt Frühstück to go. Das heißt, Kaffee, Tee und n Muffin. Wir haben uns was in einem Supermarkt in der Nähe geholt und im Zimmer gegessen. Ein kleiner Esstisch war vorhanden. Insgesamt sind wir zufrieden mit dem Hotel und würde es auch weiter empfehlen. Nur schade, dass wir nicht bekommen haben, was reserviert war...

The communication between the 2 locations in Alameda CA is very very poor. As a result the Airport location could not find my reservation that had been sent over by the Mariner square location. I did not stay or occupy the room as it was in terrible shape. The next day they charged my card $680 for the 6 nights & a no show fee. I am currently waiting for a refund that they say is coming but has not materialized. The staff did not seem to care and responded with surprise that I was upset. I will never recommend Extended Stay to anyone. Quite the opposite, I will tell friends, family, and strangers to stay away. In addition, the one night I did stay @ the Mariner Square location the person above me was dragging furniture across the room till after midnight. This was by far the worst hotel and customer service experience of my life. And I’m a senior citizen so that’s say something. Save yourself hassle, grief, loss of money and sleep and book an Airbnb!!

Breakfast was poor with very limited food offered. Yoghurt and cereal were missing the last two days, no fruit bars, limited fruit, no juice. Less than competitive hotels.

Horrible experience
I had an absolutely horrible experience with my trip at Extended Stay in Alameda. I wasn't expecting much considering my trip was booked for cheapness through business purposes, but I was expecting cleanliness and safety. As soon as I got to my floor I felt unsafe because someone was throwing a party with their door open. Then, when I got into my room, the door didn't even have a deadbolt, just the little latch you put over the door. The sheets on my bed were filthy and looked like they had just made the bed and hadn't been changed between guests. Finally, my window was fully open which made me feel extremely unsafe. I ended up having a panic attack and had to find a new hotel. I fully pre-paid on hotels.com, so I didn't have the opportunity to get a refund. Due to the lateness of my check in (11:30 pm) and the nature of my trip (it was a business trip where I was fully booked all day until I left), I didn't have time to go to their front desk to complain. My warning would be DO NOT BOOK HERE.

there were no plastic cups for even simple drinking. There was no shampoo. The room was bare, except for the bed and a desk. I would expect for an extended stay that at least there’s some sort of a chair to lounge in or something.

Rude and Dirty
The staff was incredibly rude behind the front desk and the hotel and room was filthy. The man at the front was unnecessarily rude and offensive when I checked in. Then when I requested dishes to use the man at the front desk (the only person working at the time) gave me a very hard time. He finally reluctantly gives me a few cups and a pot with black flaking off (not the set of dishware usually provided at extended stay hotels) and they are dirty. I offer to wash them myself if he provided soap and a sponge to use and his response was to roll his eyes at me then reluctantly gave me one little soap packet to wash all the dishes with and I had to ask repeatedly before he’d give a sponge to me. I then asked if there was an ice machine and he told me “if you want ice you can get it yourself from the store” in a rude tone and vaguely gestured outside. Keep in mind this was late at night and I had just checked in after a long drive. When I tried checking out early in the morning there were no staff to be found anywhere on site and no drop box for keys. I called to try to file a complaint right after my stay and because “the hotel would not confirm my story” (which felt a lot like victim blaming) I was refused when I requested a complaint be filed. Normally extended stay is a decent hotel and it takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but I will never stay at this location again it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The only suggestion I have is to monitor the breakfast area on a regular basis. They are constantly short on coffee and basic compliments and seem surprised when it is brought to their attention. This has happened during my past 3 stays. Other than the above minor inconvenience, there were no issues and I will continue to stay at this location.
