Decent house with poor management

Pros: Comfortable beds, plenty of linens, house was mostly clean, lots of natural light, very spacious. cons: When we arrived there was a window open with a broken lock. We tied it shut with a hair tie. Coffee pot was broken, microwave was broken. We noticed management about these issues and received no help. I reached out at least 5 times and no one assisted us or followed up, which was shocking as the broken window was a safety risk. Also, the furniture and kitchenware is very run down with burns, scratches, and scrapes. Wifi is very low bandwidth. Lots of light bulbs were burned out.

Good stay

Great house, everything was nice and clean. working hot tub, kids enjoyed very much. only about 10 minutes from the ski resort and 10 minutes from walmart. very convenient for all needs and wants. only few cons, the dishwasher and the dryer weren't working, but we got around it.

Week at the lake

The property itself was a great family set up with plenty of space. Reasonably priced with a short distance to all of the lake access. However, property had a lot of maintenance needs. The outside hose was broken for refilling the hot tub, many of the appliances were broken, such as the toaster and all of the bathroom exhaust fans were not functional. Pots and pans were all extremely dated, which made cooking more difficult. Overall, Stephan vacation spot, but I would stay at a different house next time.

Great place… great location distance to Wisp… My family came for a Christmas get away ..The place could use some upgrades. But overall, I was pleased. It snowed and although the listing states it can fit 4-5 cars .. it could only hold 3 vehicles … driveway was icy and full of snow… so maybe in general weather conditions it could but not this time. Also side not … has a pool table however the pool sticks are missing the tips

Girls Trip

Terp's Hideaway was perfect for our Girls Trip weekend. The house was the perfect size and well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, etc. We do recommend having some spices (salt & pepper) and paper products (foil, saran wrap) in the kitchen. The abundance of towels & washcloths was a plus. The hot tub was a hit. There were 4 of us and we each had our own bedroom and 2 had their own bath. Our only complaint is the lower level bedroom with twin beds. Both beds are so worn they are sunken and you could feel the springs. If we had not had 2 ladies cancel, someone would have been sleeping on the couch because there is no way anyone could sleep in these 2 beds.

Positives: Great view of the lake, sunset, and houses On the opposite mountain ridge Nice front windows to appreciate the lake views Location is fairly central to the lake amenities AC works well with ceiling fans to keep house cool Hot tub is a big asset Jet bath in master bathroom Smart TV in living room and other rooms Nice sized house w/ 5 bedrooms, pool room, and couches on three levels Internet works fairly well Rental company is human reachable by phone and fairly responsive Kitchen is fairly well equipped Linens are well stocked with plenty of towels Negatives: No explicit lake access with this house (you are left to access the lake through marinas (e.g. boat rental) or the near-by state park Tap water has a metalic taste (buy drinking water) Carpets are very worn and visibly torn in places Hot tub cover is difficult to manage in limited deck space (tip: move steps to the side of the hot tub to allow space in front of the tub for storing and maneuverability for the heavy cover) Main level bathroom does not flush well requiring repeated plunging Mater bedroom and bath could be more comfortable (smallish bed, small shower stall, toilet dispenser needs replacement)

Ripped carpet on stairs was a tripping hazard, screen doors were ripped and unusable, sliding doors didn’t lock, we had to drano 2 sinks, we replaced all outdoor lightbulbs since it was pitch black otherwise. Overall pretty shabby and dated.

Family Friendly In every way

Very clean, a little older so some slight wear - but all appliances were new, the amenities were perfect for our family - bathroom on every floor, nice room on first level to just hang for those who want to be up later, comfortable beds. Plenty of towels, etc. Just had a wonderful time.

Great Week

We enjoyed our stay, loved sitting on the deck looking out at the lake. Management company was responsive to our needs. We had an issue with the lock on the front door and it got resolved right away. The hot tub was very relaxing. The house is well equipped but would have liked to use the grill, makes a better hamburger & hot dog. The only concern we had was the driveway very rough and bumpy getting up the hill.

The bathroom upstairs had dead ladybugs in the tub. The WiFi was not working, nor the tv or stereo system. The hot tub was giving trouble for the majority of the stay.

It's was nice. However, there were Lots of stains on the carpet and Strange smells but livable for a few days. Wifi did not work at all and Water pressure was horrible. But overall I would recommend it. Especially if you don't plan on spending a lot of time at the house and/or you have a large group.

Needs a major interior refresh, and a handyman

Big place, great view. The problem was when you walked in, it looked less than stellar. The first impression was that it looked very tired, even for a rental property. Needs freshening up from top to bottom. Carpet was older and had rips and some staining. Couches were older and similar staining. One was on the way to disgusting. Kitchen cabinets had a door hanging down at an angle. The built in microwave was broken, so that had added a cheap smaller one on the counter. TV's in bedrooms other than master were from the 1980's and not hooked up. The handyman is non existent or should be fired. Once you got over all of that, it is a good house, in a central location. By day 3, we were enjoying the positives like that the owner's have left enough kitchen utensils to enjoy most meal preparation, and nice fresh towels in every bathroom.
