« I stayed at the property with girlfriends and our dogs for a girls weekend. The property was clean and had everything that we needed for the weekend (and more). We loved the air hockey and ping pong in the basement. The host was very nice and was easy to get ahold of. I would definitely stay here again. »

« A great all-around experience. Lot's of room to relax, a nice big kitchen with a breakfast bar, and all a stone's throw from Starved Rock. I loved the balcony off the bedroom and the jacuzzi. The Grand Bear lodge has a great bar as well. Great restaurant options between Utica, Peru and Ottawa, or venture over to the Starved Rock state park lodge restaurant. »

« We took a family weekend getaway out of the city to Starved Rock and stayed with this host. From the time of purchase through checkout, the host was accommodating and available. The description of the home was spot on and was stocked with all of the basic needs and more. The grill and fire pit were a huge hit. It’s a 5 minute drive to breakfast locations, ice cream shop, and a grocery store and 10 minute drive to starved rock. Our kids had so much fun playing monopoly, we made it a no electronic...

« This property was gorgeous. The home itself was very warm, inviting, and spacious. We knew immediately when we walked in that we snagged a winner. It was a great home for spending time together but also finding small moments of time to chill and relax. We had a minor issue with the digital entry code, but management was able to fix it quickly. »

« This was a very nice home, and recently updated. I will defenately go back. It was nice that the yard was fenced in for the dogs. I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed. Alot of good restaurants within a five minute drive. »

« This cottage is super cute, outfitted for fun on the lake. It's great for a couple with small kids. The stairs up to the loft are a bit treacherous but the bunkbeds are cute and comfy. The back patio is perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine enjoying the sunset over the pond. »

« Great property, as advertised. Our plans centered around hiking in the local state parks, and it's the perfect location for that. Our needs were simple and they were met here. We stayed super cozy amid the blustery winds and rains of late March, and we loved that we could have our dog with us. »

« We enjoyed the peacefulness and seclusion of the house out in the country. It was a short drive over to Starved Rock and we even made a drive into a grocery store in LaSalle which was about 20 min away. We had a hard time getting the lock to open when getting in and with the heat but the owner was very quick to respond and resolve issues. He was kind and was understanding to our needs. Know that if you’re bringing children there’s only one bedroom with a door; the other is just partitioned off...

« The inside of the house has been remodeled and done very nicely. Perfect place for 2 couples looking to spend time at Starved Rock Park. The only negative I can have on this property is, they advertised that there is WIFI and when I asked to get the password, I never heard from the owner again. Otherwise great experience. »
