The host and the property manager went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. The property pictures don’t do it justice, it’s spacious and very stylish with fantastic amenities. It was our first holiday with our 6 month old and the house had everything we needed - good quality travel cot and high chair, children’s toys and lots of space! Honestly cannot recommend this property enough, we will be coming back!

Fab stay at Sundance

We all had a really enjoyable stay at Sundance! The property is extremely comfortable, spacious, clean and tastefully decorated as you see in the photos, and the owner maintains it to a high standard. We loved using the pool in the beautifully landscaped gardens - and it was often quite tempting to spend more time there than we had planned to! The property is in a good location and as stated and walking distance to the lovely Miami Beach, Freights Bay and Oistins. Jan, our host was prompt at responding to our queries prior to our stay and the property manager Stacey was equally attentive during our stay. I’d be surprised if you don’t also have a great time spending your holiday at Sundance. We’d definitely stay here again!

Sensational

A really charming house, bursting with its own life and character, that is every bit as lovely as it looks in the ads and as all the other reviews suggest. The kids were never out of the fabulous pool and we made full use of the many comfortable and tastefully decorated living spaces indoors and out, as well as the large kitchen and laundry (we loved the outdoor clothesline option). Tucked away in a secluded corner of Christchurch with fabulous Atlantic shore views, surfing steps away and a wonderful swimming beach just 2 minutes by car, plus everything else Barbados has to offer within easy reach, Sundance is the perfect launch pad for a fun-packed Caribbean vacation. We’ll be back in a heartbeat the first chance we get!

Four Friends Getaway

Just returned from a fabulously fun visit to Barbados. It was our first time staying at Sundance and we were thrilled. We loved the house - it had everything we needed and then some We loved the location - nice neighborhood, beach close by, within walking distance to Oistins. The booking of the house was a breeze. The interactions with the property manager Stacey were so helpful - she was friendly and accommodating and always available to answer any questions. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing stay at Sundance

Sundance was the perfect base for our stay in Barbados, an amazing spacious house with everything you need, including great outdoor space and pool. Only a short walk from local beaches and Oistins town perfect for fish Friday. Stacey the property manager was always in hand and couldn’t do enough to help with local knowledge. Beautiful house, perfect location

We just had the most wonderful family vacation in this house. It’s bright and breezy, with wonderful spaces for reading, or gathering, doing yoga, or taking in the view. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was really nice, but the rest of the house was also very comfortable because the breeze blows through. The location is perfect if you like to walk. Miami Beach is within walking distance, or a short drive. A great surfing spot is even closer, and also a place to rent boards. We walked the neighborhood every day, and there are numerous paths from the road that lead to a trail along the coast. Cafe Luna is also nearby and has a beautiful atmosphere with a delicious menu. Jan, the owner of the house, and Stacey, the property manager, are both extremely helpful and responsive. We needed a hair dryer at one point and Stacey was at the house with one in 5 minutes! The house was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. We’ll be booking this house again next time we come to Barbados.

Gorgeous getaway

The house, grounds, and pool are just lovely. Having a pool to come home to after a day at the beach or exploring the island was wonderful. The house is beautifully appointed and the bedrooms were cool and comfortable. House manager Stacey was excellent and sweet and provided outstanding recommendations for restaurants and activities. The house is a short drive to beautiful beaches and restaurants but far enough for some peace and quiet. Cafe Luna was our favorite restaurant and Carlisle Bay was our favorite beach to hang at. Book a snorkel or dive cruise with Andre Miller at Blue Barbados. Take the tour at Mt. Gay rum distillery- so fun! Our vacation was wonderful and we would absolutely book the house again. Jan was quick to reply and made booking easy.

Beautiful, peaceful getaway with a few notes

Villa: This was a gorgeous, clean, serene villa. The beautiful landscaping provided privacy from the road/neighbors and we used the private pool every day. There were several seating and dining areas throughout the house (both indoor and outdoor) so we could spend time together or individually. The AC units in the rooms were effective and cooled the rooms quickly. We appreciated the ample closet space and the safe in the master bedroom upstairs to lock up our valuables. Property manager, Stacey, gave us a warm welcome and was informative and responsive (easy communication via WhatsApp) before and during the trip. She also provided recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. A couple of notes in the listing would help create clearer expectations for the guests: - laundry facilities may not always be available for guests, perhaps depending on length of stay - 2 rolls of toilet paper provided per room; additional is guest's responsibility - checkout time listed as 12:30pm, but if there is a same-day arrival, cleaning services will likely start earlier than that (~11am) Local attractions/dining: Beach access just ~5 min walk from the home (Freights Bay Surf Access) and many more beaches accessible by car - we visited Miami, Brandon's, and Bathsheba beaches and easily found parking at each one. We rented a car from the airport (driving on the left), which made transport around the island easy. The villa is ~15-20 min drive from the airport. Oistins Fish Fry is close by and delicious, especially the grilled congoli! Cafe Luna is a hidden gem with a magical rooftop terrace (string lights and star lanterns), Dina's Bar and Cafe in Bathseba is a tasty, family-owned business right next to the beautiful Bathsheba beach, Champers is a little fancier with an amazing oceanside dining terrace. We loved the Calabaza sunset cruise. The crew was knowledgeable and attentive. Unfortunately, it was too hazy to see the sunset, but the snorkel stops were amazing (swam with a sea turtle and the shipwreck stop was like swimming in an aquarium, surrounded by fish). The food was plentiful and tasty – we were too full for dinner! We also enjoyed the Animal Flower Cave, but it’s a farther drive (~50 mins). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Steps to the surf

We loved this house. Comfortable and spacious —plenty of room for my wife and I, our two grown children and our infant granddaughter. Between the climate and the sliding doors it’s almost like you’re living outdoors. Lovely porch upstairs. Most of us are surfers so the best part was the break at Freights Bay, all of a three minute walk. And it was great to jump in the pool when we got home. Stacey, the property manager, was extremely conscientious and gave us lots of good ideas for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again.

2022 Spring Break with Family and Friends

Everything you expect and more from a well-designed Barbados villa in Oistins. From the easy communication with the host prior to arrival to get suggestions on dining and activities, all the way when the great week finally had to end, and we had to check out. Everything was a 5 out 5 for us. The house is well appointed, and the host was quick to respond when we had questions or needed anything. When at the house, we spent most of our time outside enjoying the beautiful grounds and evening breezes. The pool was great and the perfect size to cool off and be lazy. The only real drawback for my family, which the host pointed it out before we booked, is that the closest beaches are more for surfing and a bit rough for kids. There are however a few beached that you can walk to or just a quick car ride away. Even with that minor concern, we will be recommending Sundance to friends when considering a stay on the south shore of Barbados.

We really enjoyed our stay— walked into town for dinner and relaxed in the pool. We wished we could have had access to surfboards and boogie boards because we walked to the beach and swam with the turtles but we wanted to surf.

The best spot!!

We had the best time staying at this perfect and charming house. Steps from beautiful surf break and an equally great beach. The house is very well equipped with great kitchen and very nice aesthetic and decorating. Jan was very easy to communicate with, responsive and helpful, as was the house manager. Amazing property in a great location

This house is perfect for a sunshine holiday in lovely Barbados. 4 big bedrooms which all have AC, amazing outdoor living space with comfortable furniture to lounge on during the day and night. The house is equipped with everything you could ever need. The house is located a few hundred meters from the ocean where you can watch (or participate) in surfing, kite surfing or simply watch the numerous turtles feeding ! There are some restaurants and bars nearby and Oistins is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. All in all a great place that I'd thoroughly recommend.

Home away from home

When we first enquired about the property with the owner we felt what this villa and it’s layout meant to him, his wife and kids, kind of a dream come true, the conversation turned quickly from a father to another.. We were looking for a place where the kids could safely run around a garden, dip in a pool, space for the moment that matters, meals outside, play time while never feeling on top of each other if mum wanted to read, someone else play or else. The proximity to a nice beach for kids, surfing spot for me, amenities while calm surroundings, preferably not close to a busy road... We found all that. The house is beautiful so spacious,, the garden all around green full of flowers and plants, safe for our kids both under 6, the layout with so much outside covered space where we spend most of our time, very tastefully decorated and furnished.. Nothing unnecessary hanging around while having everything one can need. From the relaxed sitting area on one side outdoor to the 2 dining areas, 1 outside by the pool, bar and gaz bbq, to the sofas inside, the kitchen with just about every bit of equipment, knives , graters, blenders, dishes, 2 amazing ovens, very big dual fridge, freezer, wine racks, very well simply laid out and organised, big sink, filtered water, dishwasher, everything made easy for everyone to enjoy and limit the spend cooking and cleaning and more time enjoying with the family doing the fun bits, eating, playing, being in the pool, and focus on what holidays are for. The size of every room, from bedrooms to bathrooms is more than most people would expect to have at home. It was only four of us in this 4 bedroom 8 people capacity but feels like everyone has his personal space if and when he wants to... the separate massiv laundry room again makes the less fun but necessary task easy to free time for the essential, relaxation and precious family moments, located in a residential , calm with very little traffic area meters away from sundance surfing spot less than a minute walk away feels like heaven,. Taste likes it too. The sunset family moment every evening spotting the 100’s of turtles( am not joking) and rays quickly becomes a ritual.. Such is the sight of surfers at first day light coming religiously to get their daily nature fix.. All in a calm, harmonious and respectful way.. There is so much more I could say like the tremendous amount of storage space in bedrooms, the many usb plugs available everywhere , speaker Sonos..

Lovely house in great location

We were a family of four plus a baby. The house is very comfortable and spacious. It was perfectly safe for a one year old with stair gates and gate to pool. The location was perfect for us as near to kite surfing beaches and the surf beach. It is possible to walk into Oistins and to Miami Beach. Della was amazing coming in twice a week to keep the place keen and change the linen. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful rental in great location

Lovely house, nicely decorated. Easy to check in, property mgr. responsive when TV did not work for Super Bowl. Ceille the housekeeper friendly and meticulous. Perfect location for surfers and close to Oistins. Overall wonderful stay.

Stunning

This is a family home that shows all the care and passion of its owners. Beautiful furnishings, with stunning original artwork on all the walls and books in every room. It was a joy to sit in the shade of the terrace and look into the mature garden of lush trees and flowers. Bella the house keeper is a joy to behold and Carolyna the managing agent was always on hand if needed. It was a privelage to be able to stay at Freights Reach.

Freights Reach villa is the ideal choice for a family. Set in a peaceful location the rooms are spacious, well decorated, fully equipped and clean. The ample sized pool is great to cool down from the Barbados heat. Convenient for the airport & close by to the un-spoilt Miami beach. Thank you to Carolina for her helpfulness before and during our stay, and a special thank you to Della who made the villa feel like home & whose friendliness was a treat. Highly recommend this accommodation :-)

Great Vacation

We were 6 Adults and Child all rated a 5. Property is very very well maintained. Pictures online match what you get. We did find Pool bottom to be abrasive, maybe rough to prevent slipping but we had some sore toes/feet after a week. Grounds were very well maintained. Staff (Maid, Gardeners and Pool Man), were very accommodating and friendly. Housekeeper Della, who was in every couple of days, was Great, Unabtrusive and Friendly! We did have a Catered in Meal from Villa Chefs that was extremely disappointing with cold food served 2 hours late. We had 2 meals scheduled but cancelled 2nd. Our main Downstairs Bedroom Bed was not that good with creaking when we moved. Would rate 4.75 if possible due to Bed and Pool but overall a very enjoyable stay and would probably rebook if we came back to Barbados.
