Un paradis sur terre

L’endroit est magnifique, à quelques pas de la mer! La piscine est propre et grande. Tranquillité assurée. A 2 km du village d’OrientBay, épicerie et plusieurs types de restaurants vous y attendent. Sur place, pizzeria et dépanneur ayant tous les essentiels. Christian et Chantal vous accueille et vous font un topo de tous les endroits d’intérêts et restaurants à meilleur prix! Amazingly relaxing getaway

Beautiful View

Chantal and Christian were great hosts. Christian met us upon arrival and helped us with our luggage again on check out. This was important because parking is a distance from the unit and has a significant incline. It is a studio unit with a direct view of the beach (no units in front of it). The beach is cleaned almost daily by a tractor. It was amazing how much seaweed collected but, the beach was always in good shape. The unit had a nice big pool. It would have been nice to have a Restroom close to the pool, instead of having to go back to your room. Christian was very helpful recommending restaurants when we arrived. Thank you Chantal and Christian for a wonderful vacation.

Best host ever

Christian is an awesome host. He was in contact with us to direct us to our lodging. He met us on arrival and carried our luggage to our unit. He responded quickly to minor questions throughout the week and even came on our departure to help with luggage. We had a great view of the beach which was only a short walk away. We were very happy with our total experience.

We had an amazing time at this condo. The view in the photos doesn’t do it justice. If you want privacy, the beach between Mont Vernon and Orient Village is outstanding. If you want chairs at a beach bar in Orient Village, it’s a short and beautiful walk. The local pizza in Mont Vernon is great, and quite inexpensive. The French restaurants in Orient Village are truly outstanding!I cannot say enough good about the outstanding communication with Christian and Chantal - from the moment we reserved the property until the day we left. They are just wonderful people!

Awesome location

Beautiful view of the ocean, pool and beach. View as better than described in the listing. Property was clean and as listed. Access to the beach and pool was convenient - just a short walk. Christian and Chantal were great hosts. They did a very good job with the arrival communication and orientation of property. Very responsive to our limited inquiries. The community pool had completed upgrades and was very nice. It would be nice if the community pool would add toilets and a concession stand. There was a small grocery store on site that provided access to most needs. We shopped at the Super U for our primary groceries. The kitchen portion of the condo was small, but convenient for preparing breakfast and lunches (and occasional dinners). Definitely recommend to have a rental car. Many nice restaurants in the area (Grand Case, Orient Village and Mont Vernon). The property is at the north end of Orient Beach. The north end is less populated and the hosts provided lightweight chairs we could use at the beach. There are many businesses down the beach that provide chair rentals, food and beverages on the beach. Recommend Orange Fever for chair rentals. We stayed for a month and enjoyed every day. Recommend this condo and hosts.

Hosts are very attentive. Location is very busy with parking at times being very long walk up steep drive. The feel of the place outdated, very little storage for cloths as dresser either has host material in it or screwed shut. The bathroom has no ventilation and as such no air flow in room unless you open front door. So sleep can be hot even with air condition. 9 Stay, no change of towels or bedding without charge, 1 garbage bag for entire stay.

Paradise Vacation

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks. The view is beautiful, great location! Loved walking on the beach every morning. Studio is clean and well equipped. Pool is newly renovated. 10 minute walk to Orient Bay restaurants. Close to everything, grocery store is 5 min away with all of the French food and wine you can imagine! Hated to leave. my wife and i came to St Martin for the first time. We'll be back without question and hopefully able to book again with Christian and Chantal. Ideally located with spectacular view of Orient Beach. Christian was such a help with advice on beaches and restaurants.It could not have been a better experience.

Perfect setting

The unit was perfect size and would be for a couple also. View from patio just beautiful with zero obstructions. Easy walking distance down the beach where you’ll find options for sunbathing, water sporting, an adult beverage if you desire with also some wonderful restaurants and some shopping. Getting to other places on the island by car can take some time depending on time of day but this is an island not a major city with highways abound. Enjoying the process is half the fun !

What a View

Awesome unit situated on a hill overlooking orient bay. Views are unreal. Hosts are the nicest people you could ever ask for. Checked in regularly. Made sure all avenues were covered. No issues no problem. Such a beautiful friendly island. Locals are beyond helpful and nice. Can’t wait to go back.

St. Martin Gem

We had a wonderful stay in St. Martin thanks to our gracious hosts Christian and Chantal! They were always available to answer questions and make recommendations. They even went out of their way to sort out a canceled boat tour we were dealing with. The room was very comfortable and well-stocked and had a lovely view of the beach and pools. The resort itself was quiet yet within walking distance of the more lively atmosphere of Orient Beach with its' many restaurants and beach bars. It is a lovely destination and we hope to return in the future.

Perfect for us!

Wow. What an awesome view. What a great location! Kitchen is fully functional for cooking. The pool is great. And most of all our hosts were the best. Available for any questions or concerns we had. Definitely will be back next year.

Great getaway on the beach

The view from the balcony was the best feature. Walk on the beach was second. Save and clean efficiency condo in a nice area. Down-side was you needed a car to get to most restaurants.

Beauty AND hospitality!

The property is lovely, and as advertised, our unit had a fantastic ocean view. The beauty was surpassed only by Christian and Chantal's hospitality and friendliness. Christian was readily available through WhatsApp, and when I texted him about a minor problem (the microwave stopped working), he responded immediately. I cannot recommend Christian and Chantal and their lovely property highly enough!

The condo was just as seen in photos. Views were unbelievable. The hosts, Christian and Chantal, were great. Christian really went out of his way to help us. The complex is hilly, so not the best for anyone with mobility issues, but it certainly is beautiful.

Common water outages

Although many things were discussed with us upon arrival, including where the electric panel was located, nothing was mentioned about possible electric outages, which occurred once, nor water stoppages, which occurred on weekdays. Wondering why jugs of water were stored under the bathroom sink soon became the only way to flush the toilet when no water was running. I certainly cannot blame the owners for the outages, but a little head’s up would have helped. The view was spectacular, but the entire complex had an abandoned feeling, and the construction on the pool was ongoing on weekdays.

Famtastic location, good hosts!

We loved, loved the balcony, we lived there when we were not on the beach. The hosts Christian and Chantal couldnt have been more helpful, from the beach chairs, to bringing a second umbrella to also helping out with the laundry service. This is a lovely spot hearing the waves all day and all night was just what we needed the grounds are beautiful. Watching the donkeys come and go was amazing. Great nature walks and right on the beach. These places are being refurbished but even though theres work to be done the noise is not heard above the waves and the gentle breeze. Initially when we saw the covered parking garage we were a bit daunted however you soon realize that parking in a shaded area makes it worthwhile. The unit is dated and my only comment would be that it would be nice to have newer towels and more of them. Perhaps also soap for the shower and hand soap. Thank you again Christian and Chantal you are good hosts and we would visit again.

Like staying on an ocean liner

The apartment is just as described. It was very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and everything worked. Nothing to complain about. The hosts, Chantal et Christian, were very nice and extremely attentive. They were available immediately via WhatsApp if one had questions. They had suggestions for places to eat. We would add the rental is probably one of the nearest to the surf in the Mont Vernon resort. When on the porch one does not see any other buildings, like sitting on a deck of a cruise ship cabin. The apartment’s east wall facing the ocean is all glass and can be moved aside across the entirety of the room and deck, which opens the whole apartment to the sea. The porch offers complete privacy, being on the top level with no other rentals within view. What we liked best about the complex is there are no streets so there is no automobile traffic, no loud radios at night and no motorcycles. It is very quiet at night except for the sounds of waves and an occasional dog barking. The restaurants are located at the other (south) end of the beach so one also does not hear loud diners leaving meals late at night. Lots of good places to eat within a short drive or longer walk but a great pizza place is on site. Since the restaurants nearby are so good one does not have to cook, but if one is a serious cook and plans on cooking a lot you may want to bring your own skillet if you are not a fan of non-stick cookware. Kitchen was well stocked with spices. We stayed for three weeks and usually travel with our favorite stainless-steel skillet. Security is excellent with the paths around the complex patrolled in the evenings and with a guard at the main building. The apartment has a safe which we did not think we needed. Since the complex is far from any public roads it is difficult for thieves to access. Parking was under cover with only gated access so your car is also safe and close to the on-site security person. This is a quiet place by the sea, if you want a place near beach parties and energetic young people with loud motorbikes maybe try another part of the island. We enjoyed the “Frenchness” of St. Martin - the language, the food and especially the French bakery which is only 1.8 km away next to a large supermarket.

Nice location, awesome view, fantastic property managers

Christian and Chantal have a great condo at Mount Vernon on Orient Bay, Like other reviews state is still in the process of recovering from hurricane Irma. As of March 2022, there is still active construction happening daily, the pool is still not usable. We were provided a parking spot in a covered/gates lot. Check-in was easy and the property was shown to us and all amenities addressed by Christian. During our stay in the condo we used the stove, oven, espresso maker, drip coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer; all these appliances are good working order. Fully equipped with silverware, plates, glasses etc. we did not use the toaster.The bathroom with double vanity sink is nice, shower has two heads with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable and no of sinking in the middle which can happen with king beds. The bureau space fit our two suitcases plus there is a luggage rack, a small Key-locked safe provided for this trip. There was a hairdryer and an iron with ironing board. While many beaches have places to rent seats, the condo came equipped with two travel chairs and an umbrella to take with us to the beaches that don’t have chairs. The owners also provided advice on which beaches to go to and their recommendations were spot on. The air conditioner keeps the condo nice and cool. Flat screen TV comes equipped with cable, Netflix, and Amazon prime. Glass door to balcony slides fully open as an extension of living room, with a perfect view, The sounds of the waves are incredible and it sounds like you’re sitting on the beach. I felt very well supported by the owners for any questions or concerns. Overall we had a great time, while the common area has seen better days before the hurricane, the condo, the owners, and the great location made this an excellent stay!
