We rented Villa O for a week at the end of January for a celebratory weekend with friends. The moment we walked through the door we were taken aback by the beauty of the villa and the view. We were met by the host who gave us a full overview of the villa, it's amenities and the local area services. They had even stocked the villa some wine, coffee, fruit and bottled water to ensure we felt welcome. We landed in St. Martin mid afternoon and before the sun went down were already relaxing in the pool.
The villa is just as beautiful in real life as it is in the online pictures. The kitchen, bedrooms and common areas are all extremely well appointed, and there is a great Sonos sound system with indoor and outdoor speakers. We had a group of seven in the house and we found it to be spacious, with several different lounging areas. a cleaning service came in three times during the week (usually while we were at the beach) and cleaned from top to bottom. Also, the host was available to us by phone throughout the week to answer any questions we had. A highlight of our trip was having a chef come in one night to prepare a full dinner. Although we ate out a few times during the week, the chef dinner at home was truly the best night of our week. Thank you Chef Olivier and Lily.
We've been to St. Martin a few times in the past 10 years, but this was our first time back since Hurricane Irma. We were a bit nervous about what we would find, but the island is in good shape, especially the Orient Bay area where VIlla O is. Orient beach is beautiful, and the restaurants at Kontiki and Bikini have been rebuilt even better then they were before. Pinel Island still stunning and is fully back up to speed as well.
Villa O is certainly one of the more spectacular homes we've seen in St Martin.
