If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the most frustrating, infuriating experience I’ve ever had with a rental company. Vacasa Homes is an absolute joke and completely incompetent when it comes to property management. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away. We were a family of 15 staying at a property managed by Vacasa. Before arriving, we asked specifically about a BBQ – we were told there wasn’t one on-site and that they couldn’t provide one. Surprise: there was a BBQ when we arrived… except it was completely broken and disgusting. So they don’t even know what’s on their own property. Red flag #1. Then it got worse. On the first night, we discovered the AC wasn’t cooling and the refrigerator wasn’t working. We reported it right away—6 PM—and thus began SIX HOURS of back and forth with what felt like an endless carousel of unhelpful, robotic Vacasa “representatives.” Over 90 minutes of that was wasted on the phone with VRBO too, trying to get someone to actually do something. Spoiler alert: no one did. They finally sent someone out the next day after 9 AM, who confirmed that yes, the AC was filthy (the filter hadn’t been changed in months—see picture below) and yes, the fridge was broken (needed a whole new board). Did they fix either? No. They took the AC filter and didn’t even replace it. They looked at the fridge, shrugged, and left. That was it. No cooling, no fridge, and now no air filter. Awesome. We lost over 300 in groceries. STAY AWAY !!!
